This is me making history, only not

I have several goals for 2013 and I'm going to share them on this here blog to help kick start the new year. I realize it's only the 26th but my hubby and I are staring early.

Here we go.

1 - Improve my Health

I currently live with fibromyalgia (which is why you haven't seen me on the blog a whole lot. I am so exhausted just making it through an eight hour day, that adding in cooking, cleaning, laundry, writing, and blogging becomes beyond difficult).

So what involves the health part you ask...

A. Eat Better (ridding a lot of red meat from my diet).
B. Walk and any form of exercise.
C. Try to rid stress. (Relaxing on the family drama and attempting not to worry about the wait in adoption).

2 - Successfully edit my current MG Novel.

A. Work with Taryn Albright to perfect my novel.
B. Seek advice from Ninja Illustrator, Rose Cooper, for my drawings.
C. Potentially query if good and ready.

These aren't necessarily goals for 2013. After all I'm not big on the whole 'New Years Resolution' Deal but I am big on changing myself to be a better me and the two things above is my starting point.

How about you? Any plans?

Aww, Fibro is no fun. Sorry you struggle with that. Walking does seem to help.

My New Years Resolution is to spend less time watching TV so I can spend more quality time with the hubster and kiddos, as well as more time writing and blogging. :)

Best of luck on you MG manuscript! And the adoption! I'm sure 2013 holds many blessings for you. :)

Fibro is not a cake walk. I hope you are able to improve your quality of life.

It is difficult but so far I am managing.

Hope your complete your list successfully.

My plans are mostly to try to find a way to make myself de-stress. I've been doing better at balancing what I have going on, but not great...
I tend to focus on ONE thing, to the exclusion of everything else, and I must stop that, lol.

Hannah - Your New Year plans are fabulous!!! Education, writing, and reading? What's not to love!

Jenn - I'm working on less time with television in 2013 as well! More time reading, enjoying the outdoors, etc!

Gail - I hope you're dealing with any illnesses you might have as well! Sounds like you might me dealing with fibro yourself!

Jolene - I wish there was a pill that would help us! That would ensure my life improving! If it were that easy we'd be done already!

You've got a great list of goals. Each one with sound subsets that can help move you toward achieving them. So I truly wish you the best in all goal regards.

My own involve pushing out more writing projects that have been on hold. I need to tell the back burner to stop being the back burner and sorry that those projects on the back burner have had to stay there for so long. It will take a great deal of time management on my part, but the stories are worth sharing, even if only a small audience finds interest in them.

Laura - You're a doll! I wish you tons of creativity in the coming year!

Erica & Christy - Thanks for stopping by! I love seeing familiar faces!

Angela - I love your enthusiasm! I have several back burners myself that I need to push forward. I wish you tons of time management skills and I know that you'll make great stories!

Stephen King said to first write for yourselves, then others. You're already on the right track!

I'm sorry to hear about your fibro :( One of my friends had fibro for years and a year ago she went on a gluten-free diet and it helped tremendously. You're still getting good nutrients from the quinoa, rice flour, corn flour, etc. that are in gluten-free foods. Talk to your doc! I hope you feel better soon and wish you many blessings in the new year!!

Aww, Jen I'm so sorry to hear you've been struggling with your health:( I had no idea. I will say this though, if anyone can tackle it head-on - it's you:)

Also, good luck working with Taryn - I just "met" her over Twitter and she seems lovely!
