Today is an extra special treat! I’m over at Query Tracker talking about characters and how they’re important in a query!!!
If you stop by and it’s not up yet PLEASE go back and check again! It’s really great (yes, because I wrote it)… if you need a swift kick in the butt to get over there leave your email in the comment and I'll notify you when it's up!!
HEY! Before you run of their tell me the name of your MC and your Secondary Character. I love seeing what people come up with!!!

I just self-published my book, Glittering Ashes (on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Glittering-Ashes-Dark-Artist-ebook/dp/B005F5PCZ8 ) and in it, my main character's name is Roe, and my secondary is Jordyn. <3 them!
Thanks for letting me plug (a little) :)
Mine are Calliope and Milo <3 it's an ancient-world kinda book :)
Ellery and Roman (& Gage, Yvonne, Uli, Annalise, Sawyer, Eden, and Olivia).
I'm loving the names!!! These are so creative!!!
I realized I didn't spill some of mine... Harper Drake, Phillip Jensen, Sophie Sax, Chase Reynolds, Alex Masters.
There, I think that's enough!
I loved your last post for Query tracker. I will check this one out.
Anna and Ian
Sadie and Graham
Livie and Will
Yes, I'm working on three stories.
My MC is Jamie (changed from Joe) and my secondary character is Lola. Although they're consigned to writing limbo for a while :)
If I wrote, I would def include a character named Bubba...
I'll be sure to drop by, honey. My current MC is named Concetta and the secondary character so far is nameless. He's referred to as 'the harpist'. I think I might keep it like that.
I'll drop by! My current MC is called Serenity Holland, which is quite ironic, since she's anything but serene!
My Mc is Rowen McGregor, his wife is Peynton, and his side-kick so to speak is Quinlan.
I'll be sure to checkout QT
In my current wip the mcs are Tori and Hawk (short for last name) :)
Off to QT :)
I'll go check it out too!
Right now i have too characters one is nameless and the other one is Delilah. Not sure which will end up being the main though :)
I'm still trying to figure out the character names for my new project. Maddie's (short for Madison) is the mc in my wip.
I'm on my way over!
My MC is Marvin and one secondary (there are a several) is Leeza.
Wow, that was really great. Sometimes we get so caught up in the big picture that we lose sight of what our book is really about - people growing.
Christina and Marjory!
My main character is Eileen but the secondary character who is pretty prominent in the book is named Kennedy.
Byron and Athee.
Ty (girl) and jonah (swoon)
My main characters are Anna, Malachi, and Lukas.
Samantha
Okay - I am still trying to figure out query tracker, but I will TRY and go see what you've got. I'm sure it is phenomenal because... yes... you wrote it!
Hmmm...okay. I mainly write children's books, but I am starting to outline my 3rd YA. Still working on names so I can't share them yet. agh - names can be tough cause you want them to be good. Maybe if I check out your article it will help inspire me to finally decide on some names!
Twitter is being rude to me today and I'm having trouble tweeting, but I featured a certain querying quote by the fabulous YOU on my blog today! Actually I had to pull it from my memory bc like I said Twitter is being laaame and I couldn't do much, so hopefully I remembered it right! :)
So cool that you are doing a guest post over there!
My MC is Amy Thompson; 2 secondary characters Robert Crane and Calvin Mertz.
Sure, remind me to go check the post if you don't see a comment today from me :)
........dhole
In OPEN EYES, my MC is Kenna and my two secondary characters are Gideon and Kiernan. It's a YA Epic Fantasy
Fun! I love naming my characters. Each name really represents so much about their personalities I think.
My MCs are Yara, Treygan, and Rownan. My secondaries: Nixie, Lloyd, Koraline, Pango, and Delmar (to name a few :))
Yay for QT!
I'll be hopping over this evening, Jen. Way to go for guest posting on Query Tracker!
The two protagonists in my Civil War YA, The Underground Gift, are Josepha, a slave, and Reeca Fitzgerald, an abolitionist. The antagonist, a sadistic Bushwhacker, is Benjamin Michaelson. Most of the names of the minor characters have significance for me as well. I love your question!
P.S. I left a response to your comment on Marcie Bridge's blog, http://marcieshrinks.blogspot.com/2011/08/guest-postquestion.html.
Ooh, what an interesting topic. Offering query help is an awesome thing. :D
Thanks for stopping by! Glad you love Harry Potter, too.
It's a memoir! Guess!
Jade is the heroine and Marcus is the hero. :) I'll head over to QT later. :) Have fun today!!
