Grabbing blogging by the...

I'm not Candyland so to mention balls would just be in poor taste.

This last weekend I went back to my fun loving self. There was a chili cook-off for the upcoming roller derby season and that screams FUN so the hubs and I attended.

It reminded me of all the fun I was missing. I knew I needed to alter my activities but lately even organizing in order of importance was a feet.

You see I used to have all the time in the world to blog. Now it seems my blog tank has run empty. I blog three times a week and yet I feel so unconnected from this amazing community.

Well, this past weekend had me writing down what I couldn't live without. Asking myself what I enjoyed, and making a wall mural (we move in a month, I figured it was okay) telling me what to X out and what to put first.

Guess what, blogging is a love of mine, as is writing.

So I've decided to make sure I have time to do both. Hello, coffee shop, you're my new friend.

I've taken myself out of my old routine and into a new one. Inside the house I felt like it held me back... Sometimes a change in scenery is all it takes.

Feeling stressed? Ironing out what's most important to you? How to juggle all you want to accomplish?

Sometimes we have to do what you did. Make a list and see what's most important to us!

Mixing it up is such a good idea. A new environment, or routine may not change what or how much we do but it changes our attitudes and enthusiasm. The mural sounds pretty cool too.

I'm always trying to juggle it all. My problem is that much as I love blogging I'm letting to take too much time from writing.

It's always a tough one, isn't it? I love blogging, too, and I hate when I feel disconnected from the wonderfully supportive blogosphere. It's good that you've taken the time to re-evaluate.

It's so funny that you post this, because just yesterday I was complaining about how I never have time to blog.. I said "My friend Jen has this wonderful blog and she's so good at it and I wish I was like her!"

Guess it's good to know we all struggle to keep up with the blog world. It's a big world, after all.

I love to blog too but sometimes it's hard to find the time to write posts or get around to as many blogs as I want to. I try though!

I love that you made a wall mural! That's awesome. I might need to do that to figure out what my priorities in life should be. Have fun!

Making lists is a great way to find out what's really on your mind. I'm glad you love blogging so much because we all love seeing you around the blogosphere!

Prioritizing is a great idea! It's not always easy to do - but it sounds like you've got a good handle on it! :)

Glad you're out of your rut, or at least on the way out!

I like the idea of changing locations to do things. Like going to a coffee shop... I'm going to try that.

I've got my list of important things, but jeez, these important things take more time than I have in a day! :p <3

I really enjoy blogging although it does sometimes take away from the real world fun activities.

That's it...isn't it. The disconnected feeling when your not receiving feedback or able to give it on other peoples blogs. There are things that could go by the wayside...but blogging isn't one of them! :)

You are on point. Glad you found, whats sounds like, some rejuvenation after getting a chance to shake things up a bit.

I've been neglecting my personal blog for my book review blog and writing but those both give me great feedback and keep me connected. Maybe we could request like two more hours per day to get everything done. What do you think? hehe

I'm so appreciative for both the giggles and knowledge blogging has given me. I'm trying to eek out time everyday to keep up, but it does get tricky. I've started Saturday morning jammie time blogging.

Did you write it on the wall?!? heh heh That is such a wonderful idea!! You've inspired me to do it!

So glad this wasn't a post to announce you are cutting back/giving up your blog. It does take time, but I'm glad you're going to make room for it. We understand you're busy with life, but I know I'd miss your blog if it wasn't around!

Good for you Jen, I reckon it's really important to pinpoint what's a love and what's a chore.

Lots of fun is definitely a good medicine!
Love Laura x

I'm so glad you decided to keep blogging. Losing you would be tragic!

Yes, it's not easy to juggle everything. I'm re-arranging some of my priorities too, but blogging will definitely be on top of the list.
