Monday Musings

Here is yet another installment of Monday Musings, where I share just about anything that comes to mind... whether you're prepared for the facts or not.

This edition is the Come on, tell me I'm not the only one. And I really hope I'm not alone on any of these. That would just be tragic.

1. I've been WAITING for them to release Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1. In preparation for this addiction I have watched all the previously released movies last week. Come on, tell me I'm not the only one.

2. I have a contract for my first home and it's AWESOME. I may or may not visit the house nightly just to see it's beautiful front entrance. The neighbors might start to wonder. Come on, tell me I'm not the only one.

3. Valentine's Day is celebrated inside our house, without flowers or chocolate. I prefer to avoid the masses who insist on going out the evening of. Bring me home a heart shaped pizza and mini champagne, love, and everything will be alright. Come on, tell me I'm not the only one.

4. I go to the bookstore just to read the acknowledgements. You never know what awesome agent you might have missed OR the awesome novel that catches your eye. Come on, tell me I'm not the only one.

5. My ability to clean has gotten, well, lazy. If less than a month left in the apartment making myself clean the place just seems hopeless. I might actually have to call someone to pick up after my lazy ass. We haven't resorted to that. I figured I should probably attempt to pack and see where I end up. Come on, tell me I'm not the only one.

Well, now it's your turn. Share something about yourself...or just agree with me on some of these. This is a day where we all come together and you tell me how awesome I am. Yup, that's how I'd like things.

I hate to tell you, but...you're the only one. :P Minus #5. I've been very lazy lately when it comes to cleaning. Congrats on the contract on your home, though!!! That's so exciting!!!

I'm moving at the end of the month, too, and I have hardly packed. I'm starting to panic but know that ultimately I am a last-minute kind of girl ... sigh.

Happy Monday.

Sweetie, you are not the only one. Before moving into our flat we used to walk by the building every day and daydream how lovely will it be to call it HOME:) Happy Monday, darling. xo

That's fantastic about your new home! And does reading the acknowledgements of other writers make us weird? I do that too. I find it connects me with the author. Guess I'm a people person.

Well done on the new house, Jen! That's fantastic! :) Lots of sparkles and cupcakes for you.

I have to admit that I too have become very lazy with cleaning. I've been in my new home for 3 years this Valentine's Day (yes, that was the exact day we moved in...great gift, huh?). I love my home and I am a person who likes everything in its place; however, I can't seem to get anyone else to help with the cleaning (hubs or 20 year old stepson) and therefore I guess you could say that I'm not so much lazy just on STRIKE for the next 2 years until the young "adult" moves out.

And mentioning we moved in our home on Valentine's Day...that's what we celebrate on February 14th. I tell my husband, love me all year and not just one day. I get my chocolate fix whenever I need it :)

Congratulations on the new house!

You're not the only one who prefers to stay in for Valentines...I use it as an excuse to try out a new seafood dish every year.

I've told my husband not to buy me jewelry, chocolate, or flowers--but to wait for them to go on sale the week after.

1) I want the movie, but I'm not anxious for it.
2) Been there, done that. I drove past our first home many, many times before we moved in. Obsessed, I tell you!
3) We have too many February birthdays to celebrate Valentine's Day. No way I want to even attempt to go to a restaurant. I know my husband loves me. I don't need a day to remind me.
4) If I go to a bookstore, I have a HARD time leaving without a book. Those places are addicting.
5) Been there, done that. Well, still doing that. I hate to clean. Period.

1. Haven't seen Breaking Dawn Part 1 yet but I will eventually.

2. Yay on the contract for your home! That's awesome!

3. Normally we go out for Valentine's Day, usually with the boys, but since I'm due the 20th, we're staying home this year. Although we did go out yesterday as a part of celebrating Valentine's Day. My mom and siblings watched the boys while hubby surprised me with tickets to see a broadyway show - Seminar.

4. Acknowledgements is a great way to find agents!

5. Ugh, I hate cleaning but I have to to get everything ready before baby #3 comes.

I've moved a lot and the cleanest anywhere I've ever lived has been, has been the day I moved out :-)

Congratulations on your house, Jen!! That's really exciting. And if I was moving soon, I'd probably be really lax when it comes to cleaning, too!

I got Breaking Dawn Part 1 from Netflix on Saturday night and it was good! I'm looking forward to Part 2, though I have no idea when that comes out.

I'm all of those except 1.(I haven't even seen eclipse yet. Loved the books, not so much on the movies)

Congrats on the house!!!!! That's wonderful exciting. Of course drive by every night. You're creating wonderful memories you will look back on and enjoy.

I am totally making a heart shaped pizza. What a great idea! I have pizza dough mix and the rest of the ingredients already (it's super easy if you've never tried making a pizza at home- and tastes better than frozen kind).

Congratulations on a new house! That's always exciting.

When we buy a house I am the same way--stalker woman extraordinaire! It's too hard to stay away. :-)

Enjoy your new home! We don't celebrate Valentine's outside of the home. My home is in need of a Spring-clean. So you are not alone, Jen. :)

You're not the only one, you're not the only one, you're not..
when we bought this house, I used to drive by just to see what it looked like at different times of the day!
And I hate going out on Valentine's night, when horrible food is overpriced and it's all "you have to be romantic", no I will have a nice dinner here instead.
You're not the only one!!

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

We NEVER go out on Valentine's Day! The crowds - the noise - the confusion. That is NOT romantic or sexy.

Congrats on your HOME!! :) I remember when we bought our house. I drove past it numerous times just to look at it.

I mentioned you in a post today. Come check it out! http://vickiorians.blogspot.com/2012/02/tag-im-it.html

And yes, I watched Breaking Dawn-Part 1 last night.

Ha! When we bought our first home, I walked into the backyard to see if I could get a good look into the kitchen before my hubby reminded me that I was trespassing. . . and looked really creepy LOL! I totally get it and CONGRATS!
