The second page with requirements (so.not.important)

This was my reaction:

1. Stares at Letter
2. Touches emblem
3. Re-reads letter
4. Jumps on the bed
5. Pulls out suitcase
6. Stares at letter again (want to make sure it's real)
7. Pee's a little (of course, only natural, overly excited)
8. Re-reads letter
9. Dances around suitcase
10. Shares news with parentals
11. Listens as they read the letter
12. Screams when they says it's time to grab supplies
13. Blinks rapidly, frozen in place
14. Grabs pants to visit Diagon Alley
15. Re-reads letter
16. Dances around suitcase once more
17. Hugs parentals (maybe a little to long)
18. Vows to always be good
19. Climbs in the car
20. Realizes the flu networks faster

That's my reaction... care to share yours?

I would have pictured you as a lady of Beauxbatons. Just kidding.

I'll meet you there! Unless I somehow get relegated to Durmstrang.

If you happen to stop in Flourish and Blotts, could you check and see if they have any autographed copies of Lockhart's _Gadding with Ghouls_? Thanks! And have a great term!

I'm a witch! I am! Why don't they want me?!

Massive congrats, Jen, even though I hate you for going without me.

Colene Murphy said...

the perfect reaction I think! Can you put in a good word for me?

Melissa said...

Tell Dumbledore mine got lost in the post. Your reaction is very similar to mine though I'd be doing a lot more screaming (a little less peeing) and a lot more... MY CAT IS SECRETLY A KNEAZLE AND TOTALLY AWESOME AND YES SHE IS COMING WITH ME! SEE YOU NEVER FAMILY!

PS. Thanks for the recongratulations on my NaNo word count. You know you inspired me!

Congrats on getting that Hogwarts letter. :D

That would be my reaction, too!

Too cute,

Your reactions are quite believable! I wouldn't have expected anything less.

I'm sure I would reacted almost the same way .... except for peeing. Guys have better bladder control. lol

Can't remember now where I just found you (these "senior" moments today!), but I am SO glad I did. What a fun and lively blog this is. YOU are lively. You younger bloggers keep us older ones young.

My somewhat childlike brain injured 45 years young daughter has read the Harry Potter books several times (you can meet her on my blog), all except the last one that she thought was too dark. I have several times read half of the first book (have seen the movies though), and after reading your blog and several other fans of Harry I am determined to read the series so I'll be "with it" somewhat in the realm of fantasy. Rowling's writing IS amazing; I just get pulled off into other things.

So, with that windy introduction-- I loved YA novels when I was very young and I still do, and want to follow your blog just to see what you and your friends are up to!!

LOL :)

If I got my Hogwarts letter, my honest reaction would probably be a little too much like the young Tom Riddle: "I always knew I was awesome! In your face world!"

But I will strive to be like Harry and just simply say: "A witch? Who me?"

Oh, and then I would pee a little, too.

*jump and scream*

*dance*

Shout:

Hogwarts, Hogwarts, hoggy warty Hogwarts,
Teach us something please,
Whether we be old and bald,
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with filling,
With some interesting stuff,
For now they're bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we've forgot,
Just do your best, we'll do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot.

IT'S HERE.

Fun post! I'd love to go to Hogwarts myself...

Abby Minard said...

Haha, cute! I would totally wet myself. I think my heart would jump to my throat and then I'd throw up a little in my mouth. Then would come the screaming and jumping around.
