Truth Thursdays

Let's Dive Right in!

1. I may or may not listen to Selena Gomez on pandora. She has some great music. She works wonders for a character I'm writing. (judge on your own time).
2. Apparently when journaling I like to talk about what I ate for dinner (Time & Date stamped)
3. I want to eat at Carl's Jr. (one opened up by my house). I, however, find that if you are waiting 2 hours for a burger you're an idiot (especially with Wendy's and Whataburger wide open - no line). Jokes on the losers.
4. Velveeta shells & cheese make for an awesome lunch. I'm on a new kick... the cheesiness keeps me coming back for more.
5. Twitter hashtags are the devil (because I heart them so much). I'm one who uses them for random thoughts. They are the best. I should dedicate a post only using hashtags.

I should probably keep a food journal but I remember most of my good meals. I would just like to have one so I can try replicating recipes. Mmmmm, velveeta shells and cheese.

Carl's Jr. became Hardees around here. Though I have noticed some places still have Carl...not sure what that was about. I also don't get why people would wait in a line that stretches down the block for a Krispy Kreme donut.

I love a good donut but not enough to stand that long. Really don't get the whole $20 burger thing either. Thooough I admit a weakness for Friendly's burger on a hot pretzel bun. (I now want a burger at 8am.)

LOVE food! Went to a Japanese restaurant last night. 24 frakkin' degrees outside, it was nice to sit in front of that hot grill and watch the cooking being done.

Hmmmhmmmmgood

Man Carl's Jr. is SO good. It's probably only busy because it's like the only one in Tejas. They're never that busy in Cali, just expensive.

My daughter has a Selena Gomez CD, and she is a good singer. I like her best out of anyone in the
Disney franchise.
And man, I've never had a Carl's Jr. burger! (none around here)

Happy Thursday, Jen! I love this! You are the best! :) I've got to find out what those twitter hashtags are...LOL. I'm so behind! :(

Diana Mieczan said...

Hey, sweetie:) I also love cheese and I could eat it every day:) Have a lovely morning. Muah

Elena Solodow said...

Sorry, Jen, but I'm not with you on the Velveeta. Blech.

Ann said...

If you dedicate a post to hashtags, that would be great and I look forward to it...I might then begin to understand them.

My journal entries are mostly about the sleep I did or did not get.

Carl's Jr and Hardee's have basically the same menu since they're owned by the same company. The difference is that Hardee's has a better breakfast and I miss that. The big Carl's Jr burgers always sound and look good to me, but I'm always remorseful after I've been eating one and I can rarely finish it.

LOL, great post- love your truth Thursdays.

Confession:
I spent time with my Manly man instead of doing homework last night.

Living with a 13-year-old daughter... Selena Gomez is a household name! (I think she's adorable in WoWP, anyhow! :)) And in UT - it's In 'n Out Burger that's all the rage right now. Although the 2 hour wait has died down a little. Happy Thursday, Jen!

Never heard of Carl J burgers! But I like burgers of any kind (bbking woppers being a personal favorite) My kids have me watching witches of waverly as we speak. Dubbed over in aweful french.

Jessica said...

I should start keeping a journal. But I don't think I'm that dedicated.

Unknown said...

I'm with Elena. That Velveeta stuff is just not natural. No Carl's here either. We do have an O'Charley's and the burgers there are awesome. But I wouldn't wait in line for one of those either. Now if it were chicken...

Jennifer Hoffine said...

love the Velveeta and Shells...and the hashtags (your tiny parentheses are great too) :)

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

Maybe a post on how to use those hashtags? Because I'm still lost on Twitter.

Carolyn V said...

LOL! I have a song or two on my ipod with Selena on it. But I only use it for running, really...only for running!

Chris Phillips said...

I am going to go clock into my own time now so I can judge you.

Whataburger! Oh I miss whataburger...noommm. Shells and cheese sounds really good right now too! You make me hungry...

I wish I could use Twitter hashtags in spoken speech. #newpoeticdevice #foralittlesprinkleofsnark.

I should go to the gym today...but I'm totally using the bad weather as an excuse to skip it. :P

You should really do that post about Twitter hashtags. So much fun.

Talli Roland said...

You *know* I love this!

Ellie Garratt said...

What are hashtags? Sorry. I'm a twitter virgin.

Golden Eagle said...

I've never used Twitter, but I can see the attraction to hashtags. They do make things interesting. :P

BTW, congratulations on 1100 Followers!

I LOVE your blog ;)
Do you have an In and Out Burger by you? People wait an hour for their burgers here LOL!

Meredith said...

Please dedicate a post to hastags! #bestthingever

Jessica Bell said...

You keep a journal, and write a blog, and write novels, and work? Wow! Well, okay, I guess that's pretty normal for us writers, huh? ;o)

Kelly H-Y said...

Too funny!
My kids watch the Disney Channel ... so, naturally, I've now come to enjoy Selena Gomez!

Julie Musil said...

I'm now blaming you because I'm craving Velveeta shells and cheese. It's a good thing I live in the boonies, because KFC shows commercials every night at about 9, and I swear, if I lived in city, I'd be in the drive through (#randomtruthyoudidntaskfor)

Tracey Neithercott said...

Ok, now I'm craving mac and cheese or a burger. #neverheardofcarlsjr

Oh, and sometimes I'm tempted to write Twitter hashtags in e-mails. #yesitsunprofessional #sowhat

I'd like to see that post on hashtags :)

Liz P said...

Same thing happened when the first Sonic opened up in New England. Couldn't touch the place for months!

Love the Velveeta, though I think I'm still partial to Kraft Mac 'n' Cheese simply from growing up on the stuff. :)

Jemi Fraser said...

I do love your hashtags - they're always fun!

Tamara Hart Heiner said...

I find myself trying to use hashtags on facebook. oops.

I used to be able to clock my periods by my journal b/c I always always wrote it down. too bad I don't keep a journal anymore...

Karen Lange said...

Love the Velveeta and shells..don't know if I could have them everyday, though. But I am willing to give it a shot! :)
Happy weekend,

I love your Twitter hashtags! They're hilarious. #justanotheroneofthereasonsyourock

Who am I to judge? I am a life long fan of New Kids on the Block. I paid $375 dollars 2 years ago to meet them. Aside from my wedding, it was the best day of my life.

Now you have me wanting to give Selena a listen :)

I use Twitter, but don't use hashtags. Have to admit I don't know what they are. I'm social media challenged.

Great list of truths. I wish I blogged more than I do, but I will get better soon.

Patricia Stoltey said...

I like Twitter hashtags, too, but keep forgetting to use them.

Lisa Galek said...

We had a Sonic open up by our house and I waited for like a hour to get tater tots like an idiot. Now no one is there. Give it a couple months and you'll be cruising right up to get your burgers!
