If you want to be apart of it, hop over now! We are all getting together to blog about the same topic, to show everyone on the blog, our personalities is what makes the post different. Last week was one fabulous mess! The in-laws were awesome, book signings galore, time with the hubs, but I missed all of you! I'm working my way around the blog this week to make up for lost time! Thanks for still sticking around!
I'm back to writing!!! And my characters are out for blood, they are battling each other. Battling for attention that is. I love and hate when this happens. So many stories ot be told and not enough hands for me to type them all at, so they must be patient!
Miss Violet Sheppard won this battle, and I look forward to sharing the news when I've completed the first draft. Already at the 10k mark! Thanks to a morning at The Daily Brew.
This one requires a little more attention, and with that comes research. I know nothing about fashion but by the time I'm done I'll be able to name several different designers, where all the fashion weeks happen, and what happens when Violet Sheppard is taken away from all that she knows and love and is forced to face public school (nightmare!) and teach a less popular girl it's not all about popularity, when even Violet doesn't believe it.
Lots of chaos this week. Any character chaos in your neck of the woods?

Oooh the battles for attention get bad in my head too. My beast has five, my romance western thing has four(ish) and now theres this one girl with the world on her shoulders crying for her story. Siiiigh...
One of these days I'll have more Works in Progress in more genres than I have time in a day...
Oh the battles. I have too many of them in my head. Good luck on the new idea. Sounds interesting.
No character chaos until I am back working on fiction...hopefully soon! Have fun releasing your inner fashionistra
Thanks for the link about the blogging experience! Character chaos - sure, I've switching my current ms from 3rd yo 1st POV and today I'm writing from my male lead's POV. Too fun, but a tad chaotic.
The only character chaos in my house right now involves the child...
:/
It's so nice to hear that others have these same battles. When I mention it to the civilians I work with they think I'm nuts!
I've signed up for the experiment! As for my characters, they are hollering at me as I write this.
I have mad character chaos. Daily. Although, the current WIP is going strong. My NaNo idea is battling and getting stronger because it's gettting closer to November. Good luck with your battle!
Character chaos is good! It means you've got lots of great ideas percolating there ... Happy writing to you :)
Great Post. Yeah, my characters fight each other all the time. I like Violet, she sounds like a keeper.
I'm revising but battling between several different characters for my next story. Still undecided. I like Violet. Sounds like a fun story!
Glad you had a lovely last week...My week started off smoothly and without drama so far...and I so hope it will stay that way:) kisses, sweetie pie:)...Have a wonderful time today
Violet sounds awesome! I've been a lazy writer. I need to seek out more chaos!
I love when characters vie for my attention, it makes me feel so special.
Glad your back! Good luck with your inner character battles. I love and hate that. Also, good luck catching up on blogs. I can't imaging how crazy that will be!
I've missed you too. Glad you can get back to your WIP.
I wrote a short story last week, and had to kill someone. In the manuscript, that is. So sad.
Hey Jen! It is so good to hear that you had a great weekend. We missed you to haha. Congrats on your writing, you are an unstopable force lol.
I am hopping over now to check out the experiment!!
Happy Monday

My characters want their back story told, but I'm trying to resist that urge.
Working on editing a novel and writing a short story at the same time isn't easy. Characters from both want their story to be written and written perfectly. *sigh*
I'm always suffering from character chaos. They seem to compete to see who can be the most bothersome and annoying. In the bath, in the shower, while eating, while trying to sleep, while trying to have a simple conversation with my fiance or best friend - nope, they they are, sulking about being neglected for a whole five minutes.
If I wasn't a writer, there's no doubt people would have me committed. *sigh*
I'm definitely doing the blog fest! And good luck with your new WIP.
Ooh, chaos sounds fun! I'm doing the blog fest too, should be tons of fun! :)
I'm having some bad character chaos in my head... I'm working on the third story in my Alpine Woods shifter series at the moment but the siblings who have the forth (and even the fifth) stories have been clammoring for attention lately. I'm trying to concentrate on the third before delving too far into the others, but it's hard to ignore them sometimes.
Oh my gosh WHERE do you find the time to write so much??? I want your life ....
You should check out Project Runway and old episodes of Ugly Betty for some great fashion information and frequent mentions of designers. I'd also recommend picking up an Elle magazine, as it would be a valuable resource. Hope all goes well!
Chaos with my blogfest today! Looking forward to Friday.
YES!! Character battles because the girl is about to completely destroy a boy who I really, really, really like. I set the project aside hoping she'll change her mind...
The blogging experiment sounds very intriguing. Heading over to check it out now.
Full of ideas...you're at a great place! I'll check out the blogging experiment. Thanks for the heads-up!
First off, let me just say that I adore the name Violet. It's the name of my MC in Possession.
No character chaos. No character nothing. I need to start a new project, stat.
No current battles. I finished my WIP and have to get going on a new one if I want some good battles. :-)
Hello Jen. Thanks for following my blog. I'm following your blog now, too! I've checked The Great Blogging Experiment and I'd like to join, too :)
No character chaos at the moment. I'm stuck on Chapter 4. I'm hoping to be able to write at least 2K words this weekend! Ugh.
I know about the blogfest and can't wait. Don't know what I'm gonna blog about yet but I'm thinking about it.

There is more chaos in my own life now than in my characters' lives. Oh well.
Nice to see you back:)
When is there not character chaos?? Good luck with yours!! :)
I'm looking forward to the blogfest :) And yay to you back to writing!
I love the way you talk about your characters, always funny and interesting.
The only chaos is my lack of organization. Sigh....
Good luck with the writing!
I hate it when my characters fight each other! Right now, I've got one secondary character who's fighting pretty hard to be the main character--I have to control her. Can't wait for the blogfest!
My characters just keep getting into more and more chaos. It's sad. =)
Not so much character chaos, but lots of regular chaos! It's been a wacky couple of weeks :)
Only blog chaos as I participate in Alex's TV Show Fest. More chaos coming up on Friday with the Great Blogging Experiment. Then I've really got to curtail the blogfests for a while.

Tossing It Out
Hey Jen! I'm all signed up for the GREAT BLOGGING EXPERIMENT. Great idea - you, Elana, and Alex are blogtastic!
I'm with Candyland. The chaos I'm seeing right now is dedication of my kids. ;)
Fun stuff! Yay for drafting! Hurray! And I'm totally IN the experiment. Woot!
Welcome back. I've been off my blogging habits due to exhaustion from the conference I attended and then a mandatory 1,000 mile errand.
Everyone is invited to a Viking Blog BBQ...directions are in a post on my site.
