J is for Jen

Yup. That's right. I'm talking about me. Don't you wanna know what makes me tick? Yeah, I didn't think so. But I'm feeling it anyway and since this is my blog you get to learn all things Jen.

1. I is a girl.
2. I is a 25 years old.
3. I say I like cupcakes but I hardly ever eat them.
4. I love sour sweets.
5. I have a day job (I know I'm not happy about either).
6. I have unhealthy obsessions.
7. I have weird quirks (not I'm not sharing).

Did I share enough? Are you curious about anything? Now is the time to ask... if there is a question you want answered just ask.

Now it's your turn. Who are you? What are you about? SHARE!

#1, thought so.
#2, we have to work on your grammar.
#3, probably best. If only we could eat as many as we'd like.
#4, I like chocolate.
#5, so unfair!
#6, spill!
#7, share!

Is Jen short for Jennifer? What nationality is Daiker?

I not understanding what quirks are but since you are not sharing it's ok.
I never liked cupcakes until my grandson's birthday - now I want it all the time :)

1. I'm a "girl" too--or I used to be
2. I am no where near 25, thus the "girl" label gets harder and harder to pull off without laughing at myself.
3. Blech, cupcakes give me a headache
4. I love gummy sweets (or sour)
5. I too have a day job (it really does occupy way too much of my time)
6. Oh, obsessions, yes...yes
7. Quirks? Hmm, towels must, MUST, be folded in a trifold, both directions! MUST I say!

Lindsay N. Currie said...

Jen - how do you pronounce your last name??

I love those gummy sour watermelons. . . A LOT!

Miranda Hardy said...

I'm a Jen, too. And I'm not admitting my age. Lol

Hey, we have a lot in common! I too am a day job working, girl who says she likes cupcakes but hardly ever eats them and loves sour sweets, unhealthy obsessions and weird quirks. The only difference is I'm 35.... oh ok, I'm 38 but it's just a number right???

Aaahhhhh! The grammar! My eyes, my EYES!

LOL.

I wanna hear more about the weird quirks.

Unknown said...

I is sorry the grammar is making everyone uncomfortable. Change it I will not.

Angela said...

You have unhealthy obsessions, hmmmmm . . . what could those be?

Catherine Denton said...

I laughed when I saw your title. Of course we love hearing more about you!

I can be obsessive too. So now I want to hear more about your obsessions.

Hmmm . . . Girl, 27, has day job, several mad writer friends and more mad non-writer friends. Love cupcakes, also hardly ever eat them because I'm 5'2 or 5'3 (not sure) and curvy and I put on weight easily. Total chocoholic. Love books, the sea, walking with my headphones in, driving lessons that go well and travelling.

Rhonda Albom said...

Fun post and it gives me an idea for when I get to "R." One question, what is the day job?

Lindsay said...

Ha. Great stuff.

Pst... I like cupcakes but don't eat them much as well. :)

Jennifer said...

Very funny! Cupcakes are awesome and you should try to eat more while you are in your twenties. I being in my *ahem* late thirties can only indulge on occasion so only every other day. Day jobs suck!

Hey, Jen,

i'm a dude.

Hitting a milestone birthday in a few weeks.

I write, illustrate, and interior design.... the latter two are my current career.

I'm a former model.

AND.... I love anything sweet. Now that's enough about me. OH! Wait! ONE MORE! I am a HARRY POTTER FREAK!... but you knew that....LOL

So nice to get to know you a bit better with your J post. Though I've been doing a bit of that throughout your blog the last couple of days. You are my J today and I am happy to "know" you. Keep up the good work. Your blog is stunning and I like your style :)

Cheers!

;) NO fair not sharing quirks! I'm Katie. But it begins with a 'K' so I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow.

CUPCAKES!

You should eat more of them. They're good for you :)

Jaydee Morgan said...

Always love hearing more about you! A great J post for sure :)

I love finding out more about you Jen. I too am a girl. I too love cupcakes but don't eat them often--and that's a good thing. If I ate a cupcake every time I felt like one I'd be 400 pounds.

Patricia JL said...

I as well like cupcakes but rarely eat them. I'd rather make them and let others consume the calories.

Dafeenah said...

Girls rule boys drool! Love the grammar. Sour is way better than sweet any day. We just have to work on the cupcake thing other than that perfection!

Great post!! Sour sweets are the best!

I like your post.
I eat less cupcakes than I'd like.
I am beyond 25.
I will follow your future posts.

I love cupcakes too though I hardly ever eat them or make them. And they have to homemade with good frosting. None of the grocery stuff knock offs.

I'm curious about the origins of Daiker too, it's such a cool name, but I suppose it's your husband's.

Hmm. Like your post although I realized that my sons are even older than you. You are about as old as 1/3 of my body. Now that is sad. I am curious about weird quirks. I must admit that intrigues me because I think people with weird quirks are really cool. Unless it's being a serial killer or something. That's a pretty big "quirk." You will see some of my weird quirks in my writing. One of them is to research toilets and collect little models of toilets, and books of toilets etc. Is that a weird quirk?

The frosting on the cupcake is the best part. Especially if it's chocolate fudge. Nice to learn more about you. Julie

Great to know a little more about you! :D

1. Girl power!
2. I'll be 25 in.... 5 years!
3. I discovered a new love for vegan cupcakes from this adorable store in my city. They're 10 times better than normal ones and you don't feel guilty afterward! xD
4. I love japanese sweets. They're amazing & addictive. *-*
5. I haven't had a part-time job since I moved. I'm starting to get desperate D8
6. I get way too attached to my own unhealthy obsessions!
7. I'm a rainbow of weird quirks!

Ellie Garratt said...

Weird quirks and unhealthy obsessions hey? Too tell. I want to know if any match mine!

I can be quite OCD when I discover something new. For example, last week Mr. G pursauded me to watch a Charles Bronson movie and now I want to see all his films. Like, now. LOL.

Nicole Zoltack said...

I want to hear about your obsessions! And your quirks!

Jennifer Hillier said...

Your quirks are what make you YOU! I'm pretty sure we'd all love you even if you shared them (maybe even more!).

I'm a Jennifer too, but grew up a Jenny and only more recently did I realize I like hearing the name Jennifer. I love cupcakes but don't bake them. I love candy but rarely eat any. I fantasize every day about having short, easy hair but yet I'll never cut mine more than a couple of inches at a time. I prefer cats to dogs, and snow to rain, and I love my friends like they're family.

Susan Spann said...

Hi Jen! I found you through the A to Z Challenge - which I'm doing also!

To answer your questions:

I am also a girl (but somewhat older than you are!). I LOVE Cupcakes, and eat them more often than I should, but not nearly as often as I should like. I also like sour sweets (which means lemon cupcakes are best). I, too, have a day job and write as an avocation. I also write as part of my day job, though mostly things that probably cure insomnia in normal people.

Great to meet you via your blog!

I have weird quirks and unhealthy obsessions too...but I think that makes us fun and unpredictable and it's good to keep people on their toes, don't you think? ;-)

Jennifer Shirk said...

That's funny because I think I'm getting some "healthy" obsessions. There is something wrong with me. LOL

Ann said...

I also a girl, tho not 25! more than double that number.
But it's only a number.
I think cupcakes overrated, really buns, but whatever you like, go for it.
Obsessions? What they??
