To be or not to be...

That is NOT the question. I really just wanted to see if you were paying attention to me. Which you are. Because you think I’m awesome. I know, I know. I’m sweet about it. I don’t let it go to my head.

Today is Fun Facts Friday.

No this is not going to be a regular segment. This is just me at a loss of ideas so we’re going to play it safe and learn some fun facts about writers… that’s right… I’m talking about you. But first we’ll dive in to some of our favorites – my favorites.

ME (I’m my own favorite)

I thought my husband (boyfriend at the time) had watched his friend get murdered and the gold necklace he wore around his neck was the only thing left behind when he passed. This went on for two years until I asked him about it. Turns out it was a dream I’d had and never thought otherwise. I never suspected my husband of being guilty I only felt bad that he didn’t trust me enough to talk about. – I should have known I’d be a writer.

When asked my favorite color I respond with Orange. The reason behind it is because I can never decide on red or yellow and when mixed together they create a great combination.

Emily Giffin

Never been on a roller coaster.

Calls her violin a fiddle.

Note - Okay so this was supposed to be much more exciting but after my frustrating stint with Google I ended up with myself (which wasn’t Googled) and Emily Giffin.

So now it’s your turn. Share fun facts about yourself and if you’re feeling daring about another author!!

Ooh, you've stumped me this early in the morning. No fun facts available. lol But you made me think of the strange dream I had the other night - it had something to do with death and me being chased. Not sure what the heck that means. :)

Fun? Um... I'm not a great singer, but I do sing when I'm alone in my car. Fortunately no one can hear me, because I also play the music loud.

Fun? I'm no fun, I'm a writer. Lol

I used to be a wild partier, long ago. Stayed out late, woke early for work. It never phased me. Those were the days.

Hmm. Let me see...I've jumped off a plane, slept on a bridge and love purple yam ice cream. Does that count as fun? ;-)

I have a pressed penny obsession ....i'd die without my electric blanket... I used to make dolls out of toothpicks and embroidery floss and gave every single one a name and i knew each name by heart. I was trying to make 100 but didn't get that far...still have them all.

Oh and i once wrote a story for my little brother about a booger.

Maybe you don't think this was exciting, but I sure thought it was funny. Love your voice.

Anyway - fun fact for me? I'm left handed. Okay, that's totally lame and not fun. I've been smacked in the mouth by a golf ball, which led to 40 stitched and a wired jaw. Oooo...that is not fun either.

I've got one for you though I don't know how fun it was at the time....
When I was a child I lived in a tent with my dad and brother for a year. I caught the school bus outside of the campground. Talk about humiliation:)

You know Jen, I think there is a book idea lurking in that dream somewhere. Just sayin'

Umm...I got engaged three times to the same boy, (or was it four?). Never married him.

I used to write headlines for Summer's Eve feminine mist spray.

So mortifying...

:) I love your facts! And orange is definitely my favorite color, you should see my room! It's as orange as my mom would let it be. Which, actually, is fairly non-orange but with orange bathtowels. Okay, maybe my room isn't orange - but my heart is! Sorta.

Fun facts though? Hmm.. I have lots of scars, but absolutely all of them are from the most mundane things possible. So I look kinda tough at first glance... then immediately trip over a sprinkler or something. :)

Fun? Hmmm.... How about odd. I can't wear a watch. They (almost) all stop working within 48 hours on me. The only exception was a Mickey Mouse one I was able to wear for a couple of years. :)

Fun facts about myself - I'd been wearing the same pair of earrings for about ten years until one fell out. I don't know when it did, I just happened to notice about a month ago.

Currently wearing nothing in the ears.

Fun fact: I'm not very fun. No, that's not true, I'm totally fun.

Here's an interesting fact: I have a tendency to create new holes in my ears when putting in earrings. It's just as bloody and gross as it sounds. Not happy.

Hahahaha. OMG. That sounds like something I would do. That's hilarious. I guess it's good your hubs's friend wasn't murdered after all :)

You know every fun fact about me, every Friday, silly.

I love love love the story about the murder. I hope that I'm not harboring some of those memories myself...but I wouldn't put it past me.

On your blogfests sidebar would you include mine?

Some facts about me: I have been in a long distance relationship with a wonderful man from England for almost 12 years, I lived alone for the first time after my daughter left for college last fall (I'm 40), and since you mentioned dreams... I dream in color and I can smell, taste and feel. When the dreams are extra difficult or happy it can set my mood for the next couple of days.

Fun fact about me...I went back to college after my youngest graduated high school and earned my BA in English when I was...wait for it...49. Don't tell. Okay.
