the writing game

Story time!!! At the bottom I've written a sentence, nothing super long, just something to get us started. I am asking all of you to add to the sentence to make a fantastic story! One of my friends had started it a month ago and I loved it and thought I'd take over. I will leave this up a week and then show the results next Wednesday! Hope you all enjoy!

Now for a few rules:

1. You may comment more than once but not one right after the other
2. Be Creative
3. Have fun

Sounds simple right?! Please take part in this, I know it will be a lot of fun, as it was the last time I participated!!!

THE BEGINNING -

She walked into the small coffee shop, the sign had said open however when she looked around there seemed to be no one. The lights dimmed and the air still, as she continued looking around she saw the waitress in the far corner, she nodded and found a seat in a nearby booth. The waitress stared, her bright green eyes pierced in her direction.

"I've been waiting for you." The waitress reached into the pocket of her pink uniform and pulled out a piece of paper.

I layed the yellow lined paper on the table uncreasing the folds with my finger.

Rachel said...

"I know your little secret," the waitress whispered across the table, but the words echoed throughout the coffee shop and deep into Rebbecca's heart, "and there is only one thing we can do about it."

Kelly Marie said...

Cheeks flushed, she took a deep breath. Slightly stuttering over her own words, she whispered, "Not now."

"She glanced down at her skirt and realized. She was wearing plaid in the middle of summer."

Okay, not great, but I'm still a little tired. =) So fun! Thanks Jen!

And then, at the worst possible moment ever, with her dressed in plaid from head to toe, the same thing she wore last time they were together,he walked in.

Rebecca peered down at the note she had pressed to the table with the palm of her hand. Please, don't let him see me. Please.

But with the coffee shop virtually empty, of course it was only a matter of seconds before he stood at the table.

"Uhh, hey. What are you doing here?" He looked at her, his blue eyes lighting up her soul.

Rebecca crinkled up the paper and smiled.

Ashley Stone said...

"Oh, just having some coffee before work." She said quickly, she turned to the waitress "black please." Rebecca held her breath, hoping that the strange woman would go back into the kitchen and forget about the note under her quivering hand.

Luke was still standing by the table when the waitress said "He can't help you. No one can."

Suddenly, without warning, Luke grabbed her hand and threw her over his shoulder.

She felt like one of those cartoons where the caveman drags the woman off by her hair.

"PUT ME DOWN!"

Kimberly Franklin said...

"I can't," Luke says. "They are on their way now and they know your secret."

She gasped, horrified.

He carried her out the door, everyone watching as they fled.

"Oh, and that plaid skirt is killer," he snickered. "Where did you get it from, Old-ladies-R-Us?"

Jen - This was so much fun!!!

She smiled seductively. "Did you see what I'm wearing under this skirt?"

Michelle Gregory said...

"Honey," he said, "this isn't really the place for this kind of conversation. You should save it for later... when we're alone."

(sorry, that's just the first thing that popped into my head)

She grinned in reply and gripped him tightly.

Her body bounced against his shoulder as he hurried towards his Jeep.

She heard the shrieks just as he swung open the door.

"Get down!" He ordered as he put her in the passenger seat. He moved to jump in and started the engine. It roared to life.

As he threw it into gear she glanced towards the sky.

The sun was bright, it was a beautiful day. She thought it ironic given the events that had unfolded. She glanced down just in time to see Luke run a red light. "Put your seatbelt on!" he ordered. With shaking hands she fumbled to obey. Her eyes widened when she noticed the black car that was trailing them from behind.

"Who are they!?" she asked, her heart beating out of her chest.

John said...

Luke turned and looked her in the eyes and she suddenly realized what.......suddenly there was silence.

Rebecca turned around in time to see another black car skid to a stop in front of them. Luke spun the steering wheel to the right, sending the car swerving onto the sidewalk where it crashed into a parking meter.

John said...

As quickly as she could, Rebecca gathered up as much change as she could while Luke fought off those chasing them.

missivysparkle said...

"Leave the change! I dont really care about a parking ticket right now!! Go!" He screamed as he watched her get out and run down the dark ally that sat adjacent to them.

Shadows seemed to come to life as she streaked through the alley. The pounding of feet couldn't keep up with the drumming of her heart. She quickly realized her plaid outfit would be perfect camouflage... if only...

John said...

she hadn't thrown it off to distract her chasers. Now, she was running through the allys with the rain soaking her body. Luke saw an opportunity and..........
