Tuesday Twist

EPIC NEWS (clarification: This is Epic news for me. It should be for you too, but some might disagree - you can go elsewhere if that's the case)! Candyland is doing a special guest post over at my blog Jules and the Stars.

You.Do.Not.Want.To.Miss.The.Awesome.

Four Words: Matt Brady & Candyland (& counts as a word)

So after you're done checking out Jules place you can decide which of these tickels your fancy (who says that?).

First Sentences
1. My sister Justine always believed that the best way to deal with your fear of the dark is to pretend it's really light.
2. An hour before Azalea's first ball began, she paced the ballroom floor, tracing her toes in a waltz.
3. I woke up in a dingy claw-foot bathtub in an unfamiliar pink-tiled bathroom.

Secret Reveal
1. Door #1
2. Door #2
3. Door #3

I hope you love these as much as I do. This week personally I loved all the beginning sentences (as did my cat who is currently laying on top of #3).

First lines #3. Based only on the cover - #2. Go figure.

I love this feature of yours. It really shows what hooks you and what doesn't in a first sentence plus it introduces me to new books. These are all great but #3 hooked me best.

Oh number three sounds like it might be very promising!

Tough choice this time. I think I like 3 best. 2 made me pause because I have a WIP with a princess named Azalea and the first scene, she's dressing for a ball. Weird, huh? I wrote the opening scene in high school... it's been collecting dust ever since.

I went with #3 and was really surprised - I was actually thinking about buying The Lying Game. That settles it, I'll just have to now!

I went with door #3. It seems to be a popular one.
