Childrens Books? Thats questionable...

I work with awesome people. When I thought I didn't have anything fun planned for todays blog post they helped me out (last week) and brought in some fun books that had me laughing.

It's up to you to decide if you want to consider them children's books or not... but I'd say it's questionable.

My personal favorite: All my friends are dead (IT WAS HILARIOUS).

What's your favorite?

IN PROPER NEWS: Tera Lynn Childs will be at Blue Willow Bookshop this evening. I'm very excited. If you're in Houston you better come by. She's brilliant!

Let me think now... no I suspect these are adult books!! I've heard about Go the F*k to Sleep one and it's meant to be hilarious. Not seen any of them myself though.

OMG, these titles are hilarious! I heard the audio version of GO THE F*** TO SLEEP is awesome, but I haven't heard it yet(I think it's read by Samuel L. Jackson--now I've got to go find it...)

Have a great day!

Kristine, that's the link and yes it's great. They took the pictures off but the narration is still there.

Too funny. I think they would be awesome books for children - older children :)

Awesome. I've heard of some of these, but not all. Monsters Eat Whiny Children, though? That's a classic!

Hi Jen!! Thank you so much for your sweet comment y==the other day, it made me smile.

In other news... my husband read me the third book the other night after I had been talking about goodnight moon... I was like babe, really that is so inappropriate hahaha

Go the * to Sleep is definitely not for kids! I hope the first one isn't for older readers, because that would just be cruel.

"Go the F*** To Sleep" would have been a great book for someone to give me as a young parent - I wouldn't have felt so guilty about wanting to shout out that title to my insomniac toddler once in a while. (I didn't. And he grew out of it of course, increasing by increments until he was sleeping the normal 18 hours as a teenager.)

WOW. What titles. I'd heard of the "Go the F*** to Sleep" one, but not the others. "All My Friends Are Dead"!?! I want to read it just to see what it's like. ;) And the "Monsters Eat Whiny Children."

I want to read All my Friends are Dead!

Go the F*ck to Sleep is so funny. Did you see Samuel L. Jackson read it on You Tube? I pride myself on having children who know I won't tolerate not going to sleep nonsense. But I've had friends who had this craziness going on when I've visited, so I can relate. In fact, I'm such a hard-a** about my kids going to sleep because of those experiences!

I read All My Friends Are Dead in a store promoting HIV/AIDS research. It was really funny. I love children books for cynical children. They remind me of Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events.

Go the F0k to Sleep looks pretty good too.

I think I like Monsters Eat Whiny Children, because it sounds like something a really exasperated parent might actually say! But kid's books? I don't think so - I think these are for Mom & Dad! My husband is wishing Go the F#ck to Sleep was around when his son was little.

I've only been exposed to Go the F*ck to sleep, and personally almost pissed myself laughing while listening to Samuel L Jackson read it. Twice. (OK three times).
