truth thursdays!

It's time again... where I dish out the truth about me! Keep in mind I have become lazy as the week has progressed but tomorrow I hope to shock you with my brilliance!!! Okay so maybe not, but I'm trying to remain hopeful!

1. I love watching traffic pass by when I sit out on my balcony

2. I love listening and watching trains pass by

3. I cut my hair off last night to create the "new me" and I'm already loving the new me!

4. Sometimes I wish co-workers didn't have to sit so close to one another, some I find annoying.

5. I love watching baseball and basketball in their stadiums, but I hate watching any sports on TV (excluding the Olympics)

6. Finding me is pages away from completion of the first draft!!!

7. Truth Thursdays I find is very stress-relieving!

So share with me your truths! I wish I had better one's but this happened on a whim when I realized I hadn't prepared a good post for today!

When you get a minute be sure to check out the contests on my sidebar!!! I have one up there for 3 $10 Amazon Giftcards! Get your name in now! Also drop by and give Summer some love for just finishing her first draft of her current WIP!!!!

I love your Truth Thursday - I may have to borrow that sometime! I got my hair cut last Saturday, and just yesterday was the first time someone mentioned it. Oh well - I guess it wasn't that drastic of a difference so I shouldn't be surprised. I'm glad you're happy with your haircut!

It reminds me that I have to get a new hair cut (but I keep saying it's because a change is as good as a holiday... which I desperately need). Thanks for sharing.

Truth Thursday, what a super idea! My truth, right now I'm feeling springtime lazy. And not a bit guilty about it, yea!

I'm so proud of you for being almost finished!!!!

My truth is. . . I skipped my morning run so I could write instead. GAHH!! shame on me :)

Susan - borrow it anytime!!!

Cheree - You're so right! Change is like a holiday! Being refreshed counts!

Kim - I did read yours! All over that! Happy Thursday!!

Kittie - You shouldn't I want to be lazy too! Looking at your profile picture makes me want nice weather so I can lay by the pool, swim and enjoy myself!

TerryLynn - I don't like to be in it, just watching it! In it I'm stressed!

Crystal - Sometimes we have to sacrifice things, way to go on the writing... you'll get your morning run tomorrow!!

Love the truths. Congrats on #6!

I cut my bangs after growing them out for years. No one even noticed.

I would love to toss my day job out the window! That's as truthful as I can be today.

Truth: I LOVE that I now have another answer to the question, "And what do you do?"
Instead of, "I'm at home with the kids," I can say, "I'm a writer."
It's especially nice, since the kids are now in school all day and that other answer falls pretty flat.

I can't wait to hear you've finished your rough draft!

When you say you cut your hair, you mean that YOU really cut it? Like, YOURSELF? If that's the case then I think you're a combination of brave, crazy and awesome! There's nothing quite like a "new do" to make you feel on top of the world. :) Happy TGIF Eve!

Summer said...

Aw, thanks for the love! I think you should show us pictures of the new 'do!

Can't wait for your freakishly excited "I finished my MS" post. And hey, what a great birthday present!

Jen said...

Stina - Thanks for the love! Oh I hate when that happens, so far not many have noticed, but the few who do mean a lot!

Tamika - I'm with ya girl!

Krista - Congrats! I'm sure thats a great feeling!

Gina - NO NO NO! No cutting of the hair myself... I am not near that bold and with the hair being cut so short that would have been difficult!

Summer - Well deserved :) I can't wait either! I think I'm going to be one crazy writer this evening!!

Watch out! I'll try and post pictures tomorrow... if not it will be my post for tomorrow!!

Ooh, a nice haircut sounds like a good introduction to spring. Yay for your first draft almost being done! I'm the same with sports–can't stand to watch unless I'm there, and then I love it.

Great truths! And congrats on almost finishing your first draft -that's brilliant!

My truth, hm. I would like to crush the little bird that kept me awake all last night. But of course I won't.

Phew. I feel better.

Jen...when do we get to see the picture of your new hair cut? I'd love to see it! =) Truth about me. I'm meeting with an agent next month, and am a little frightened about the whole ordeal. =)

Jen said...

Amy - I'm excited! Posting pictures soon!!

Talli - Thank you I'm really excited!

Carolyn - Tonight or at the latest tomorrow!!! OMG that is super exciting!!!! I think it's okay to be a bit scared, but hopefully your pretty excited as well!!

Oh, I LOVE watching sports on TV. Watching at the stadium is definitely better, but ANYTHING is better than nothing. I'll even follow a baseball game online. :-)

I have a very main street passing behind my house and I enjoy watching the traffic sometimes. Especially in the evenings when it gets backed up the traffic signal and I can see people in their cars. I guess I'm just glad I'm home and not in the traffic.

Truth ~ I once spent over $100 at a county fair trying to win my then girlfriend a $10 prize. If she was a real girlfriend, she would have made me stop.

This is a fun concept, Jen. Thanks for giving us more of you. One truth of mine - I often peek ahead while reading a novel. No self-control whatsoever!

Great list of truths! I can relate to the second one -- I love trains, either riding on them or just listening/watching them. :)

Jen said...

I've never been on a train before Shelley but I think it would be cool to do so!

Steph said...

The new 'do is a do and I love, love, love listening to trains. My old apartment was a few blocks from a railroad. It was the most soothing, scary sound!
