Tuesday Twist - Kindle Edition

I GOT A KINDLE OVER THE WEEKEND!!

I'm still checking out all the features, enjoying how it all works... oh and when I can't understand something having my husband help me figure it out (a heck of a lot faster than I ever could).

So what better way to celebrate the Kindle than to share three novels that I've added to the list!!

Sentences
1. Marco and Aja burst into the house yelling for Nona.
2. I wondered if he knew what I hoped would happen.
3. The cruise ship gently rose and fell as it sailed out of the bay towards open water.

The Reveal
1. Kindle #1
2. Kindle #2
3. Kindle #3

What are you reading?

I like the sound of all of those. The first one because it must be Italian, the second just because I already want to know what would happen and the third becuse it sounds like it's got more promise than a pop book. LOL. Sorry that's my term for books which don't break any rules :o)

Congrats on getting the Kindle. I still haven't made that leap!

I haven't made that leap yet either, but with the price coming down it won't be long. They're great for writers too -- much easier/faster publishing!

Jen, I don't have a kindle, I don't even have a cell phone. I am hopelessly ingrained into the past century, a time when we could curl up and actually turn the pages of a good book. I like library smells and the sound and texture felt and heard while turning pages.
I fold the corners, I admit it, and if it is my book I might even underline a sentence or write cryptic notes in the margin. I like the weight of a good book while it is resting on my lap and there is no experience, really, like throwing a book across the room! What am I reading? I discovered someone famous from my past life! Oh the net, the net, there are no secrets! Her name now is Kristjana Gunnars and she has written seven books, all poetry and prose intermingled and spliced,
telling stories of her youth, ancient Icelandic Nordic adventures, broken hearts and long, long days and those darl winter nights of the northern hemisphere. They are short books telling hard tales and contain wonderful phrases, like, "loving you away from me." Nice reading. I knew her in our youth, simply as "Sjana".

I'm enjoying my Kindle too, but my "to be read" is list mocking me. Good thing they're virtual books, otherwise I'd be buried beneath them. ;)

Glad you're having fun with your Kindle, Jen!

I recently finished Anna and the French Kiss which I LOVED and am currently reading Specials by Scott Westerfeld.

I love my Kindle! You know you can upload your own documents to read on it, right? If you have a program like Scrivener, you can save your file as either a PDF of in ebook format, then read it on the Kindle! So cool!

I've had a Kindle for 3 years now and LOVE it! You picked a great week too. Smashwords is having a sale (many are FREE!) until Mar 12th, in honor of ebook week. Go load up!

I love my Kindle too. So much easier to slip into my purse. (Because you know that you can't go anywhere without a book.)

Yeah! Welcome to the dark side...I've got a Nook and love it. I'm currently reading The Body Finder (hardcover book) and will dive into Like Mandarin since I pre-ordered it and it's now on my Nook! Yeah!

I said I'd never get an e-reader, but every time I walk in Barnes and Noble I want to check out the Nook display. I've resisted so far, but it's tempting!

I just finished reading Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins (loved it!) and I've started Clarity by Kim Harrington. It's great so far:)

I love my Nook! I just love eReaders in general. Have fun with it!

I got a Kindle last Christmas so I could take it on my month long trip to China... I knew I'd be reading a lot and didn't have space for all the books!

I'm reading "Brideshead Revisited", but I just finished "Across the Universe".

My husband loves his Kindle so much that I may just take the leap and get one for myself :)

I do love my Kindle but for books that I know I'm going to love - I buy print. Can't help it. Print is my first love. But I love downloading samples to get a feel for books. Have fun with it.

Kari Marie said...

I'm a Kindleholic. I've become averse to actually holding a real book (although I like to see them lining my shelves and I will occasionally stick my nose in one to smell the ink and paper).

Enjoy!

I have to go with #2...
