Tuesday Twist

Hello! Another installment of the fabulous Tuesday Twist. A great way to read three sentences and see if you're willing to give the book a try!!

This week I've mixed fiction with non-fiction for fun!

First Sentences
1. I first got the call, I thought he died.
2. Welcome Friend, Congratluations on your purchase of this American-made genuine book.
3. Only three people were left under the red and white awning of the grease joint: Grady, me, and the fry cook.

The Titles
1. Secret Revealed
2. Secret Revealed
3. Secret Revealed

What would you read?

PS - I'm thinking of doing an agent style one in the upcoming weeks. Who is your agent? What is your #1 agent choice? It'd be a great way to showcase some books that might not normally be featured.

Just checked it out. I chose #1. :)

LOL. None of them did anything for me. Yep, definitely subjective. :D

Looking forward to your agent style version.

#3 for sure.

Sorry, but they did not get me running to the bookshop, but I'll be sure to check out next weeks!

Hmmm- I've read Water for Elephants. And I loved it! I love this segment of yours BTW!

#3, I've been wanting to read that one for a while.

I chose 3 and then I saw the title and I loved that book. Very fun....I like the agent idea.

I like #1 the best, :)

I chose #2, which is surprising considering I don't read many biographies. But it figures that it was Tina Fey's. She's hilarious.

Based on one sentence, I would probably read the second two. Maybe.

Oh, I love #2! That one is funny!

I think I'd choose #1. :-)

I'd go with #3!

Number one gets my vote- it sounds so interesting!

LOL, number two for sure. It made me laugh right away--and then when I saw whose book it was, I was sold :)

Tuesday twist is such a fun idea!

Actually I didn't feel any of them this time.

And I think the agent idea is great!

What a fun blog. I actually knew #3, but I never would have guessed #2. All the best.

Hi, Jen,

I'm intrigued by the first one. I don't know any of these books.

I picked #2 and yup - totally would read Tina Fey's book! I know my own taste.

Number two sounded like it would catch my interest. I should have known it was Tina Fey. She always gets me.

Hi, Jen! Just saying hello, and thanks for the add! Your page is super-fun. =)

And I choose #1 (though #3 was a close 2nd).

Based on the sentences, I chose #3 without knowing the titles. Then reading the titles, I still would've chosen #3 over the others. Interesting little quiz going on :)

Jemi Fraser said...

They're all intriguing in their own styles. The voice in #1 probably made me the most curious :)

That was so much fun!

I chose #3, which is funny to me. I haven't read the book. Maybe I should! With one sentence, I was able to conjure such a rich image of the setting.

I liked #1, too, but wasn't entirely sure I would keep reading based on that first sentence.

Fun! Can't wait for your agent-style one.
