truth thursdays and guest blogging

Happy Thurdsay blog buddies!!!

I am so excited to announce that for the first time ever I am going to do a guest blog over at Justine Dell's blog! So go check it out and be sure to tell me what you think!

A few truths before you hop over!

1. I love going to the coffee shop but only go for the muffins
2. I love to buy books at random, just walking into B&N and picking up the first two that catch my eye (who doesn't!)
3. I love brownies but only warmed up and with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
4. My favorite place to write is in bed with my two kitties Lynx and ellie laying with me.
5. I wish it was friday...

What are your truths??

BTW Justine hasn't had time to post it yet but I unfortunately have to post early due to my work schedule so please make sure come back and check it out!

Congrats on your guest blog!

Thruths for me:

I'd drink coffee all day long if I didn't have the commonsense to curb myself...

I'd rather write than eat, or drink, or do pretty much anything else...

I buy books for their first line sometimes...

I'll be sure to go check it out. Way to go!

Truths:
1. I really really hate blackfly season (buggers get into my hair and chew welts so big, I can hardly turn my neck)
2. I love singing Melissa Etheridge at the top of my voice when driving with the windows down.

I'm afraid of the dark!

Kidding...lol I am afraid of lots of other things, though.

Thanks for doing the guest blog!

I wish it was Friday too.
I can't go to sleep without wearing socks.
I love drinking coffee, but only because it is sweet.(flavored ones).
I love drinking green tea at night.

LOVE!

I can't walk into a bookstore without coming out with at least one book. Doesn't matter that my shelves are overflowing with TBR books.

Another truth is I can't write unless the wood blinds are closed. I love being outdoors and I get distracted easily staring out the window.

My favorite time to write is during rainy weather and overcast days. (Hugs)Indigo

I'm of to check it out now.
Oh, and I love buying the first books that catch my eye too. :)

I'm so with you on the Brownies ... Is there any other way to enjoy brownies? And with a fresh coffee on the side ... even better.

I hate that posts go up at different times! Honestly if you don't post between 6-8 AM EST/EDT then I may not ever get to your blog! Argh!

Anyway I love your truths (and your guest post). I wish it was Friday too.

Yay an interview! I'll for sure check it out :)

And awesome truths once again. Now I want to go to B & N and get not just books, but a muffin too. Or their cupcakes. yummm.

I'll jump over to read the guest blog in just a minute, but... I also like to go to the coffee house (usually to take advantage of free wi-fi) but don't drink coffee. Love the smell, hate the taste (unless it's used the flavor ice cream, and then yum-yum!).

Congrats! Will go and check it out.

Fun facts! I'll be sure to come hang out with you guys over at Justines:)

My truths:

1. I drink more Pepsi max than I am going to admit.
2. I secretly am excited when my husband travels. I'm happy when he comes home also, but it is nice to have some space.

Definetly will check it out!
Hum...brownies...*drools*

I could live in a bookstore if they'd let me.

I wish I could write in bed! Alas, I have to be upright and behind a desk (also have to wear some rings...ah, the totems. The totems). I'll mosey on over to Justine's blog to check out your post!

Jaydee Morgan said...

Loved the guest post - but sheesh, you only go to coffee shops for the muffins? That's just wrong on so many levels ;)

Talli Roland said...

I've seen it at Justine's already and it's great - congrats!

I'm so jealous of your two kittens. :( I want one (of my own).

Umm Jen that is so weird!
All of your truths are mine!
:))) I love coffee shops and muffins.
Book stores are my safe haven.
If I eat brownies- I HAVE to have some vanilla (preferrably Bryers) ice-cream with it.
I do all of my writing/homework in bed (and I love cats.)
And DUH I wish it was Friday!
xx,
~Abby~

I like the writing with the kitties truth! Awww.

I spill all my truths on my blog like a cheap hooker, and have nothing to share with you, haha. No.... lets see . . . I listen to a lot of music while writing. I hate silence. I bake to relax and make tons of cookies during the week. I love old magazines. That's about it!

Perusing and buying books is great. I'll check out your guest post.

I wish it was the end of the school year - my h.s. students are making me nuts! :-)

I LOVED your guest post!

I also buy books randomly. Some of my favorite books aren't from recommendations or word of mouth. They are from picking things that catch my eye.

Shannon said...

I'll be sure to check it out. I'm with ya on the brownies and bookstores.

Another thing - I can't walk past a Hallmark store without going inside.

A piece of truth: I wish days were 25 hours long...

Cool!

Ooh, and I love your new background. (It may not be new, though.... It's been forever since I've been able to hop around the blog circuit.)

I actually thought it was Friday for about half the morning. Talk about a let down!!

Definitely look forward to reading your guest blog. How fun. I'm glad your making me think of my five truths. When caught up in the daily chores of life, I forget what I like! I'm going to follow your format to help me out, if that's okay.
1. I love sipping coffee in cafes situated on a busy street corner.
2. I love getting off my butt and browsing bookstores, and leaving with one I never expected to buy.
3. I love my chocolate frozen and my ice cream slightly melted.
4. I like to write in bed when the mid day sun warms my toes
5. I wish I could blog full-time!

My truth for today: Of all the sports my kids play, indoor soccer is my favorite. It's never too hot or too cold, it never gets rained out, and it's fast-paced and fun to watch. Kind of random, I know - that's just what came to mind. :)

Shelley Sly said...

Love your truths! Friday's coming soon enough!

I just read your comment on my blog - I actually did enter T.J.'s contest today. No poems or video, though, I'm not technical enough to do video or poetic enough to do poetry. I'm really looking forward to seeing yours!

Loved your guest post - I totally need to read Stephen King's book.

T. Powell Coltrin said...

My big truth is that I love to prop up my pillows in bed and write. It's my best writing place.

I'll check out the other too!!

Eva said...

I love your truth Thursdays. Random things are always the best and most people are too scared to put things out there.

My truth for today: I was bad and ignored my WIP for a day to relax :)

Alissa Grosso said...

I can't remember the last time I went to a bookstore and just bought a random book. I always seem to go in with a list these days. I'll have to buy a random book next time.

Leigh Hutchens Burch said...

First -- yum! Muffins!

Next -- I agree. I have discovered several great authors just by choosing a random read from the clearance wall at Half Price Books. I'll admit I do judge by the cover (and sometimes the blurb) for this process. ;)

Have a wonderful weekend! I'm heading over to read your guest post now...

Mmm.. hot brownies! Yum! Been ages since I've had one... they don't really eat brownies here!
