VIDEO BATTLE: Ankle socks vs. Tube socks and more

Happy Friday!!!

Real World:
The hubs has regular hours!!! They've been going wonderful! It's like we are on vacation. I haven't had this much time with him in well over three years, ever since we moved to Houston. In other news tonight is the big night for Sex and the City 2 with my girlfriend!!! I'm so excited, I've been waiting for awhile and Aidan never did look so good (a character in the story, if you hadn't realized!)

WiP World:
Things are looking up!! Three stories in the works titled Mystic, Finding Me, and The Collector. All bothering my brain wanting to be written. Oh the trouble I've been in, it's taken quite sometime to get to this point and I should be thankful but I would love for them to take turns! The collector has been on the brain for quite sometime but with the hubs working overnights I couldn't write it. It's about a killer who paints portraits his victims before he kills them. Terrifying, as I had it in a dream and nightmares continued throughout the weeks as I wrote more pieces to the puzzle. Now I'm back to working on it and very excited!

Blogging World:
Sundays I write my posts for the week and any extra ideas I have I write throughout the week to prepare for next sundays post writing session! I've had more time during the day to comment on blogs, which is my favorite to do! The hubs and I are still working into a routine so I'm working hard to still visit everyone but not getting crazy in thinking I can always make it around! I'll eventually get it all worked out!

Video Battle:
This weeks is ankle socks vs. tube socks, the hubs idea! I figured I would roll with it!! Next week and the week after I have some awesome ideas planned thanks to the wonderful participants and their fantastic ideas!!!

Those participating this week:
Jessica - The Alliterative Allomorph
Candace - The Misadventures in Candyland
Sarah - T.J. Carson's Writing Endeavors
Katie - Creepy Query Girl
Shannon - Shannon McMahon
Rachel - Open a Window
Susan - Susan Fields
Clara - Pinches of Madness
Angela - Slushpile Slut

**NOT everyone was able to participate but since they've at least agreed to join I figured I would still keep their links on here, they're awesome anyway!*

Toilet Boy! Ahahahahaha! That was great!

I'm glad that you and your husband are able to spend more time together. It is wonderful, especially after not having that for so long. My husband and I are enjoying that as well right now.

Too funny! I'm glad things at home with the hubby are going well. I'm also glad you are finding a great schedule and workign on three novels --wow. You go.
Have a great weekend.

I'll have to come back to the video later...kids are still in bed. Don't want to wake them too early and have them get all grouchy on me!

My daughter has this THING about socks showing. I like to torture her by wearing my longest socks and pulling them up as high as they'll go. I'm such a mean mom.

Great updates Jen, so glad to hear things are going so well for you!

Still frustrated I can't watch these hilarious videos at work. Oh well.

Today's guest blogger is THE Elana Johnson!

Oh my goodness, that was so beyond funny!

So happy your husband is on normal hours. I know the feeling. When my husband was doing work and school we never ate dinner until 10 at night, if that. I've loved him being on a normal schedule.

What a week! I love when writing is flowing, and everything feels like it's coming together. It sounds like you have a good schedule (and now your husband does too).

Have a great weekend. I'll be out of town for a whole week, so I'll miss the blogging world!

Aidan does look hot. Wow! I'd see the movie just for him. ;)

Your thriller sounds cool. Now, I'm guessing you meant the killer paints the victims picture before he kills them. Or did you mean he literally paints them?

Have a great weekend!

LMAO!!! I think this is the best one yet! The names of the heros are hilarious! I can totally see the argument for tube socks and tall boots. I mean, like the girl said - why do they call them ankle socks when they don't even cover your anklers? Great line!

Congrats on the hubs getting regular hours! I think I mentioned before that my hubby works overnight shifts... he's switching to daytime hours this summer! What a difference that will make!

Do you write all your posts on Sunday? That's really amazing. Just writing one post takes me forever.

Great video Jen!

So glad your hubby has regular hours now - awesome! Don't worry about blogging; just spend time with him! Have a great weekend together.

"you have a freakin broccoli on your outfit" - I can't stop laughing. These video battles are so much fun!

Yay for the hubby working normal hours now. I don't blame you for not writing The Collector while you were home alone. Erik alternates week with his late nights and I have to be careful what I watch or I'm jumping at the slightest noises. The cats don't help. They love to send things crashing from a far room just for fun. I'm glad he'll be around so you can work on this WIP again. I love love love the idea!

Broccoli man! Love it!! Happy Friday to you too!! I have a special award on my blog for you! :)

That's great about your husband having more time at home! And I agree with everyone, there's nothing wrong with taking a break from the blog every once in a while. I'm amazed at how prolific you are!

Have fun at the movie!!

Having 3 stories competing for your attention is like being on that roller coaster - up and down and everywhere in between. Have fun with it - and the movie :)

That was awesome!! Those are the funniest looking set of heroes: toilet, muffin and brocoli! I loved this so much, here: I bestow upon you the award for this week.
There, you got it girl! =D
