Truth Thursdays!

Yes another installment of Truth Thursdays, I used to say this was one of my easiest posts throughout the week but it's grown harder since it seems I have pretty much told all of my truths. However when the moment strikes and a truth is revealed I write it down so I have my five truths for the day.. okay maybe a few more!!

1. I wish I could have a glass of champagne everyday. I don't in fear that everyone would consider me an alcoholic.

2. The sound of popping makes me cringe, knuckles, neck... ugh just thinking about it freaks me out.

3. The Chiropractor scares me for reason #2

4. I love mexican food, it's the only time I don't mind sauces.

5. I love jalepenos and onions. I could eat an onion raw, they are delicious.

6. The hubs gets regular hours after several months of overnights! Gosh I'm so super excited!! I wish today was Saturday! More time with the hubs!

7. I hate morning traffic, especially when it's unexpected, and I'm in some need of caffiene immediately!

So there you have it, a little bit more about me. How about you... what are your truths?

Love your truths! You're sounding like a really fun gal. My truth right now is that I hate doing laundry which is what I've gotta do. Groan!

Christine Danek said...

Totally agree with you on #2 and #3. I wish my kids would play the quiet time so I could revise some more because my MCs keep shouting at me.

You eat onis raw? Wow! Did you know that eating a raw onion relieves sinus headache?

My truth today: Last night I didn't wash or brush my teeth before I went to bed because I was so exhausted. And usually I am a freak when it comes to cleanliness before bed so that bed sheets stay cleaner longer. LOL

Unknown said...

Kittie - Oh thanks you are so sweet!!! Laundry is the worst! I actually have to do the same thing this evening, after work... yuck!

Christine - Glad we're on the same page!!! LOL

Jessica - Wow really?? That might be why I don't get sinus headaches!! Yikes I hate when I am so tired that I don't go through my normal routine! Makes me feel so dirty!!!

I just planted red onions in my garden last weekend. I've never grown them before, so I'm curious as to how they'll do.

I second the champagne every day idea. But for now, I'll settle for my big ol' cup of coffee.

Great truths. Now I want Mexican food for lunch. ;)

DL Hammons said...

#2 - Then you really wouldn't care for my left knee right now!! :)

Candyland said...

Eww I hate the sound of popping too. My truth: I haven't washed my hair in 2(+) days.... :/ (Getting to it today.)

Great truths Jen.

My truth today: I have a class tonight and haven't got to my practice paper yet. Whoops, better get to it.

Summer Frey said...

Truth: I have bitchin' cramps and am looking to rip someone's head off. Good thing hubby's got night class tonight. :-)

Mmmm...maybe we aren't secret twins after all...lol - you wouldn't be able to stand me popping my knuckles and cracking my neck all the time!

I love onions, but man, I couldn't eat one raw like that. My daughter does that with green peppers though. I think it's funny.

Joanne - Oh man I wish I lived close so I could watch them grow and then eat them with you!!!

Karen - Me too, mexican food is calling! I'm not a coffee fan but I guess my Dr. Pepper will have to suffice!

DL Hammons - My wrists constantly pop and it makes me cringe, lol.

Candyland - Wow, yikes!!! I don't know what I would do if I didn't wash my hair for 2 days!

Lindsay - Get off blogger and get that paper done! LOL

Summer - You poor thing! That's awful, sounds like it's an excellent thing that the hubs will be away for sure!

Justine - It would make me cringe constantly but we can still be twins! LOL, Ooo I'm the same way with green peppers as well! I love my vegetables!!

Holly Hill said...

Perhaps you're going to the wrong Chiropractor, mine does no manual adjustments. That means no popping ;) It's wonderful.

Emily White said...

Mmm...raw onions. I can't stand cooked vegetables, so I eat them all raw. Mushy textures are no good for me. Blech!

Unknown said...

I don't currently have a chiropractor but now I know what I need to look for! I don't want any popping, just the though gives me the shivers! Thanks for the advice, I'll look into it!

Elena DeRosa said...

I love when a blogger stops by my blog and offers a compliment ;) Thanks!

I hate the sound of popping knuckles too! I love your truths. My truth for today: I'm addicted to a show called My Supernatural.I have a dream of attending a Supernatural convention. Heck, I even have dreams about the show!

Artemis Grey said...

I should be working but I'm on Blogger instead, and I don't feel guilty about it...

I eat onions raw too. I also eat raw garlic...

I'm waiting to hear from two agents, and although I've talked with one via email and I know she's behind in her reading... I'm starting to loose hope...

Because of the above, I really NEED to write, because the only thing that makes me feel better when I'm stressed over agents/publishing, is to keep writing... but I'm at work, so I have to work...

Jaydee Morgan said...

I'm also not a fan of people cracking their knuckles. Unfortunately, my man and oldest son love to do this. I swear they do it to annoy me though they say it's something they have to do. (I'm sticking with they're annoying me).

j.leigh.bailey said...

Tengo una sabor de mexico! Yummy.

My truth: (1) I don't speak spanish, so the above statement is probably completely wrong.

(2) My license plates are expired and instead of renewing them, I find myself hiding from the police so I don't get pulled over.

Fun post, Jen!

Clara said...

I could totally eat an entire onion too...a cooked one. When I make soup, I actually do it. Ssshhhh!

Unknown said...

These are always so fun to read, Jen! Here's my reciprocation:

~ The only food I've hated my entire life is bell peppers. I won't eat anything that has even touched them. Yech!

~ I love a good thunderstorm, but due to a scary tornado when I was young, the sound of high winds whining through the windows freaks me the hell out.

~ I can eat ANY condiment plain, right out of the container, no food necessary. My husband use to joke that I was a cheap date - he just had to throw a few ketchup packets at me. ;)

Have a good weekend!

Diane J. said...

Jeez Jen, you could make someone cry with onion breath! Raw? Oh my gosh, LOL. I used to eat lemons like candy, rind and all. It's bad for the teeth, so I have to force myself to stay away.

Love your truths, hope you have a great day.

I think you should drink champagne everyday. Who cares what others think?

Yay for your hubby getting regular hours. I LOVE jalapenos too! Ever since being pregnant with my first daughter (that's when the cravings started), I've been a big fan of jalapenos.

I love onions too- I thought of another truth for you though! The whole 'finger lickin' expression grosses you out right along with knuckles cracking. lol.

Elena - You're welcome, your blog is fun!

Lynn - Heard of it, but never seen it! Glad you enjoy it!

A. Grey - Wow raw garlic? Never dawned on my before to eat that raw!! I can relate to the blogger and work thing!

Jaydee - That would drive me insane! Thankfully my husband is respectful and he tries his best not to do it in front of me!

j.leigh.bailey - You crack me up! Watch out for the police you non-speaking spanish chick!!!

Clara - I won't tell because I do the same thing!!! Yum!

Gina - We are opposite! I love bell peppers, in fact they are my favorites! I love thunderstorms, perfect for snuggle time!! And I dislike condiments to the fullest!!! So how funny is that!

Carolyn - Great idea! I should start!

Zoe - Good Luck with your draft!!! You can do it! I'll check out your contest this evening!

Diane - Always have the gum handy right!!

Juju - Thanks for stopping by!!! My blog buddies are awesome!

Abby - I've never seen that show but I've heard of it! I was afraid it would get cancelled and sure enough it has been! What a bummer! Hopefully it doesn't ruin your thursdays!

T.J. - It's funny I'm not a huge cheese fan and I'm not a fan of olives so I won't be trying that but I like the idea of trying different things with them! I'm excited too!! I'm also excited for your famous friday contest!

Tywo - Your list is perfect!

Rebecca - All I needed was someone in my court! Thanks for being there, I'll have a glass tonight!

Cindy - How funny that it hit when you were pregnant! Such strange things huh!

Creepy Query Girl - I forgot that you haven't all been following me forever!! I have put the finger licking thing on my truth thursdays before, but I suppose I could add it again next week, lol! I'm a weird soul! Still fun though! (PS I just cringed when you wrote those words and cringed again when I wrote them!!)

I like hearing some of your truths!

Because alcoholism runs in my family, I've always been weary of drinking. By the time I hit 30, I realized I'd be okay. So I have glass of red wine nearly every night. Sometimes two if I'm being social.

I love raw steak and fish, so I may be a vampire.

Vicki Rocho said...

A little Thursday confessional. Hmmmm...lemme think.

Okay how's this: I used to sneak treats and let the kids get the blame for eating them. (bad mom, Baaaaaad mom!)

Leigh Hutchens Burch said...

Truth: I'm still struggling to stop smoking completely (even in my "delicate" condition) and I was too ashamed to blog about it (again) for my TMI Thursday today, even though it's been on my mind.

A raw onion?? Really??? :-D

Jemi Fraser said...

Raw onions and jalapenos? Yikes! Not for me :)

Unknown said...

Theresa - I think you might be! Holy crap how cool is it that I know a Vampire!!!

MissV - That is hilarious! I'm sure my mother did things like that as well! Too funny!

Amber - Hang in there girl, quitting is tough and when you weren't exactly prepared too it doesn't help either!

Agnes - Really really! I don't know what it is, I just love them!

Jemi - You're missing out!

Chiropractors freak me out too. I could never go there.

Jackee said...

Those are great ones. But guess what? One of my truths would be that I get some sick satisfaction out of cracking/popping things! LOL! :o)

And in other news, congrats on your new WIP! I love that phase. It's the best.

Unknown said...

DL - I'm so glad! Your wife is truly talented!

TerryLynn - Thank you! I've tried to keep up with it, so far I think it's going off without a hitch!

Eva - Glad I'm not the only one!

Jackee - Yikes, I wouldn't be able to hang around you, lol!! Awe thank you! I love the fresh new characters and feelings, it's awesome!

Susan Fields said...

Hooray that hubs is getting normal hours! My truth is I absolutely hate onions and garlic - I can taste them for days afterward. I literally have to get up in the middle of the night to brush my teeth to get rid of the bad taste. And that's one of the reasons Mexican food is one of my least favorite (but, unfortunately, my husband's number one choice).

Sara Louise said...

A glass of champagne a day chases the blues away :-) And would feel wonderfully decadent as well!

India Drummond said...

Your #1 cracked me up. It sounds like you wouldn't mind *being* an alchoholic, as long as people didn't *think* you were.

Hehe.

Hey, I'm late to this post, but I just wanted to add that my hubby also works over nights (and weekends at that) and I can't wait until he switches to regular hours! It's tough, isn't it?

I actually have to do the same thing this evening, after work... yuck!
