It's been awhile since I've shared some awesome YOUNG ADULT first sentences so I figured since it's my first week back from a nice long vacation I should take it easy and share some of my favorite reads of 2011. You're welcome.
First Sentences:
1. It starts with a crack, a sputter, and a spark.
2. The grease-slicked hair is a dead giveaway-no pun intended.
3. The eyes of London were watching Claire Jenkins.

What one's have you read? Is it at least on your TBR LIST?
