V is for Vision

This will be the last week for A to Z Blogging! I have mixed emotions, I really enjoyed taking the time to be creative with each letter of the alphabet! Some days were much better than others, however I will be glad when I am back to my regularly scheduled postings! Thank you for joining me in this and leaving such sweet comments!

Todays word: Vision

We all have visions. We are all creative in some sense, some of us are writers, artists, photographers, etc. we all possess something amazing, an imagination. We all carry a vision of what we'd want our lives to look like.

Some of us want to be publsihed authors
Some of us want to be artists with our own galleries
Some of us want to travel the world taking amazing photos

All different paths, all different meanings and different walks. I think having a vision is just important as having passion. Can't have one without the other or you aren't working towards anything.

So what are your visions? Your passions? Are you on the right path?

I'm going to miss these alphabet posts.

Probably like everyone else who readers you blog, Jen, my vision is to published. I hope I'm on the right path. I kinda stepped off it at one point, almost got lost, but fortunately I'm a female, and am not afraid to ask for directions. (sorry, couldn't resist that). :D

My vision is to know/understand more about myself/life tomorrow than I do today.

My vision is to be published, too. I think I am on track. . . I write a children's column and have had a short story published in an anthology. But, by biggest passion is to have one of my children's manuscripts published. I'm still working on that.

My vision is somewhere around -75/-150?

Ahhh, okay. Geez. Now I will be serious.

My vision is to tell the stories that make me happy, and then, if I feel like it, try to get them published. All while being happy in my life, with my husband, and the hordes of animals I will someday have.

My vision is to have writing be an integral part of my life, and yes, I'd say I'm on the right path as I travel along this writing journey, blogging, writing manuscripts, working with words and thoughts daily.

Yep, I'm visualizing the future when it comes to writing. Maybe if I see it enough in my mind and work hard enough, I can make it happen. Great post!

I want to do all of those things you mentioned! I want to do everything!!!

Actually, I would just like to have a horse ranch out west and spend the rest of my life writing stories that people will love. That's it. Sounds easy enough, right? Haha...some things are easier said that done, my dear. ;-)

I love your vision and how you bring it here every day. It's very inspiring.

My vision is to be able to do all the things I love without them playing so much tug of war. I want to be an artist and a writer and musician. Sometimes it feels as if I can't fit in wanting all three. But I keep going at it anyway.

Peace.

I've enjoyed your alphabet posts! I'm going to miss them!

What a great word for V. Vision is a tough one. I hope I'm on the right track - I want to create a novel I'm happy and proud of (and hopefully publish it!). I've written others that I'm not happy with and don't deserve to be published but I think I'm getting closer.

Have a great Monday, Jen!

My vision at the moment is the next stage of revisions.
I've broken my goals down into chunks so I don't feel overwhelmes. There's nothing more disheartening than feeling overwhelmed by where you want to get. So, for now, I'm enjoying the journey.

Vision is a great one! Right now, I'm editing and the big question in my life is what was my vision for my story? Have I accomplished it?

Realistic, but difficult? Published and good enough sales to live off my writing.
Realistic? Published.
Ideal? Match the career of Edward Teach & Bartholomew Roberts with the grand success of Henry Avery

Great post! I have really enjoyed reading everyone's A to Z posts this month!

My vision is becoming self-sufficient via writing. It's a long term goal that I know won't happen for quite a while but every action I take is done with the future in mind! :D

My visions and passions are the same. This enables me to write stories I suppose x

Sweet. I keep visualizing world peace and an unpoluted earth. Although I love to write, having a relationship with people and the earth seems more important to me now than it did say...30 years ago.

Excellent question about vision. I think primarily mine is to keep it positive, free from ego and selfishness. It's not always easy.

I'm taking the road one small step at a time. I know that I'll get all my dreams to come true. My greatest vision is to cross all the items off my Bucket List. :o)

I have loved all of these posts Jen:)

My vision is to one day be published. And to have my art in my own gallery one day. Thanks for keeping me focused :):)

have a great day!!

Great post Jen, thanks for sharing.

The vision is to be a published author whose book is loved by at least one reader whom I've never met.

The next step in that dream is finishing revisions.

Having vision is so important. :) Without it, we have a tendency to shrink back from life itself.
I have too many visions in my head to list at the moment, but just having them keeps me moving forward when it doesn't seem like there's a chance I'll get to them. ;) I say, "out with doubt!"

Raquel Byrnes said...

Definitely want to be published. The day I see my book in print will be a great one.

The only way I can stay sane is to tell myself that the path I'm on is the one I need to be on, and not worry about wanting things. It's too easy for me to get discontent, so I am enjoying the process one day at a time.

When it comes to writing, my long-term vision is to have a successful novel-writing career. However, I'm narrowing down my vision so my imagination won't run away with me. Currently, my focus is just on finishing this novel and making it the best it can be. :)

My vision and passion is to write something gripping, entertaining and wonderful. Something I am proud of. I do not want to be on my deathbed wishing I had accomplished something.

Great post Jen.

My vision is to be an agent of healing no matter what path I may find myself, to grow, becoming wiser, kinder today than yesterday, and to see beneath the surface in the lives around me, lest I make a grim day harder for someone on the road beside me.

Will miss your posts on the letters A-V, Roland

The alphabet posts were great, I'll be sad to see them go but I'm curious to see what is in store.

My vision for the future is being a published author. And sitting outside a coffee shop in Italy writing :)

My vision is happiness and security. I would like financial security but even enough to sustain a happy way of life is enough for me. My passions are many. I love sports, especially adrenaline conducting ones. I also am passionate about writing. I put everything that I am into my writing. I am passionate about helping others and if I ever do make a wad of cash I would give most of it away. I hope I;m on the right path, but sometimes I feel like I;m on an unchartered path where there is much uncertainty and it's scary but I'm an adventurer.

BTW, really enjoying the A to Z blogging!!!

Have enjoyed this alphabetical journey with you. :) My vision is to be the writer and person I'm called to be. Learning lots along the way.

I was just reading earlier today about the importance of vision and having clear goals... I'm working on that one. My vision right now is to be me, figure out my passions and then set future goals, dreams and vision. That probably doesn't make sense! Some passions are helping others and writing (even though I haven't made time for it as much as I should). Just trying to figure out how to work in those passions, make a living (now and in the future), and figure out how that all looks for me.
