currently crazed

Yes I said it... I am currently crazed. My mind has been giving itself quite the work-out these past few days, and with Presidents Day yesterday and having the day off it only went faster. Thanks to the book that my friend gave me I have been learning a lot from Julia Cameron, she allows time for your mind to open to the flow of writing, taking the time to do silly exercises that at one moment might not make any sense, but after writing three pages of nonsense I suddenly have a whole new set of words that can be placed on paper.

As you can see I have skipped Mondays Writing on the Walls along with Teaser Tuesday, this is really due to being quite busy and stressed with other daily life activities. I plan on jumping back on the bandwagon for next weeks, holiday weeks tend to make you do crazy things! I can't wait to share more of the collector with you next week, once I get my life on track a little more!

How is everyone handling the weather? Any more blizzards headed your way? Any new leads on that wonderful novel you are working on?

I am SO CLOSE to finishing the first draft of my novel. I only have a few chapters left, and lately I've been staying up later and later, eager to finish.
Some weeks I fall off the bandwagon too. Life likes to surprise us sometimes. :]

We're cold here this morning where I am, 22. But no snow, though there's been some up north in the Dallas area. However, it will probablly warm up into the 50s maybe even into 60s by this afternoon. I think I can handle it!

Stay warm.

There's a snow day here in NH! My husband teaches school and he has the day off.

Writing exercises do work even though they seem silly!

I'm ready for spring. Things have been crazy here too, and I need some motivation to get my current manuscript done. I think I could finish the first draft in a week, if I could just find the will!

No snow here, just rain and MUD, I hate it. Ready for green grass! Had a great writing day on Saturday, saw some things I hadn't thought of before, taking a new interesting turn. Still working on it have a long way to go. I'm trying to make sure that I write every day, even if it's crap. Writing exercises help me a lot too. I've been reading an eccentric little book about writing called "Bird by Bird" It's really helped motivate me! Can't wait for more of the collector!

I love books like that! I'll have to check it out.

I'm ready for spring/summer. It's funny how I get excited about the changing seasons (in summer I want fall, in winter I want spring.) I guess I should enjoy what the weather is giving me. (I still want spring though). =)

Hope you get to relax soon! Life can be draining especially with this white crap all over the place.

God I HOPE there are no more blizzards coming at me. I'm so over snow right now.

And my professor told me the same thing. Even if you write a chapter of crap--as long as you're writing you're bound to eventually end up with SOMETHING that's usable :) And lots of times the "silly" stuff ends up reading a lot better than you thought it would!

Thankfully it looks like the worst of the snow here in DC has passed. I've been itching to get the first draft of my second novel finished; I just have to unpack all my boxes and organize my new (super cluttered!) apartment before anything coherent comes from these fingertips. :P

I'm writing poetry and essays at the moment, while my novels simmer.

The weather here in the desert is short sleeve t-shirts and Tevas. We're loving it.

I know the feeling. My weeks are always crazy! I've actually been pretty productive this week. But that's not saying much since I didn't do a thing last week or the week before. Oh well, what's a girl to do?

Happy Tuesday!

We're done with our bad weather, although the side roads are still disasterous. Positive side? I think I'm done with my novel. Again. And I'm so eager to start a new project.

I don't know how you do it Kimberly, I suppose I would say that mine are always crazy but I'm not normally this overwhelmed! LOL

Go Guinevere!!! Awesome that you are completed with your novel! I'm excited to know that I am at a good point in the actual process of starting, it feels amazing!! Yay for new projects!!

I just looked at your side bar and I ♥ it!! I love Pride and Predjuduce. Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy are the best and boldest couple I love them!
