I have decided to list a few of my favorite books, this is just a traditional must read list, I thought that I would put four books that I really enjoyed, all different type of Genres and you could all add a few extra!!! I always love trying new books and a chance to see what others really enjoy reading!!! When posting your selection try and make sure that no one else has it already written down!! Hi Jen,
I started the first Harry Potter book some years ago and found the writing a bit lazy. I hear the quality of writing in the series improved dramatically though - is this true, would you say?

Thanks for the book ideas. I am reading hush,hush by Becca Fitzpatrick and I'm almost finished so I am looking for book ideas for my next read.
I've gone back to Agatha Christie. Haven't read her in years but found one I hadn't read yet at my last trip to the english bookstore, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. I adore Hercule Poirot so I'm loving it so far.
I could be full of many suggestions; what kind of books do you mostly care for?
Stephanie - I do believe they continued to get better and better. The first two were hard to get through, but after that I couldn't put them down!!
Summer - I am more of a chick lit reader, but I love a good murder story, or a fantasy... The four books I listed were a complete mixture of genre's so I am open-minded!! I just love to read!
No truly literary person should go without having read the Bible-- or a least have a pretty good working knowlege of it.
As far as literature:
Mark Twain's "HUCKLEBERRY FINN" -- the greatest American novel.
Ohhh, I love those books. =) Although I haven't read the last one. It's now on my list!
I love, love, love to read. 4 of my all time favorites are "The Red Tent" by Anita Diamant, "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden, "Molokai" by Alan Brennert and, any book by Margaret George. None of those are very recent books. A few months ago I read "The Help" by Kathryn Sockett. It is the best book I have read recently. Happy reading!!
My favorite classics are Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, and Moby Dick by Herman Melville. I also loved The Witching Hour by Anne Rice, and anything by Michael Crichton but especially Travels.
The Percy Jackson series. I really like Sarah Prineas's The Magic Thief. Brandon Sanderson's Alcatraz series. Anything by Scott Westerfeld.

Harry Potter is definitely the ultimate children's fantasy. Hands down.
You should read THE HUNGER GAMES if you like YA at all. It's in my top 10 definitely.
Oh, yes, I'm going to second KM's HUNGER GAMES recommendation. AMAZING.
