R is for Ridiculously Awesome
I want to thank everyone for awesome comments on yesterdays Quirky Q post! I loved learning the little quirky things that make you all tick!
So I'm sure you've noticed today's post is going to be ridiculously awesome!!! Wanna know why?!
I started revising yesterday! Woohoo, go me!!! It took time to get there, 12 days exactly, I'm not proud that it took me so long but having to wrap my brain around it was the hardest part. Telling myself I could do it was a battle in itself. I was having trouble distinguishing between revising and rewriting... but I'm back, I got my mojo back, and I was able to revise 3 chapters! I'm proud of myself!! Just thought I'd share.
Wanna know something else ridiculously awesome?! I watched Glee for the first time!!! OMG I loved it! It's addicting already! This Madonna episode has gotten so much hype I couldn't help but tune in and I'm glad I did! The Guidance Counselor makes me laugh with her inability to really help the students, I also love Sue Sylvester, I already knew that Jane Lynch was an hilarious actress but I am glad to see that I now can see her weekly! I love that she teases that one guy (sorry still learning names) about his hair! I can't wait for more Gleetastic episodes!!! I am totally hooked! Madonna rocks!!!
Today is a shorter post but that's because these two things are so ridiculously awesome there is no need for anything else! Share your ridiculously awesome news with me!
Tomorrow I plan on sharing a sneak peak of my current WIP Finding Me, also keep in mind you can still ask questions today and tomorrow I plan on answering and sharing them on fridays post (Time for Answers) so keep a look out!

Jen,
I'm a new convert to Glee, too, and I'm with ya. I love it!
Funny you should ask for ridiculously awesome news today since I have some. Not plugging my blog just to plug it, but if you have time, check it out for the news and a video.

Congrats on finishing your first draft. I know only too well how awesome that feels. Good on you!
Congrats on your revisions Jen! Glad to hear you've become a convert. Oh and it's Mr. Shuster.
I've got my own fun Glee post on my blog today.
And Shannon, you're blog is already open in my browser. It's like 3 tabs over.
Gleetastic! LOVE IT! And i am glad that you watched it because now we have another show to talk about & its one of my favorites and you can't help but smile while watching it!!
What a good episode to watch forthe first time!! I am still on a high from it!! Welcome to the GLEEP club!
Heehee...I swear, I'll never understand all that Glee hype. ;-)
Glad to see you are tackling your revisions!!! Good luck on that. Hopefully you'll breeze right through it!
I don't have any awesome news, really. Except maybe my cool new tattoos? I blogged about them today!
JD
Jen, love this ABC post idea! THAT is ridiculously awesome.
I haven't become addicted to Glee like so many. Don't get me wrong, it's my kind of show (I was even in showchoir in high school, dorky me), but I haven't given in.
Go you! Looking forward to tomorrow's excerpt.
Congratulations on getting going with your revision.
Taking time to get the right frame of mind is exactly what you should do.
The revision process will contribute so much more to the final work than the first draft.
I'm so happy you got your mojo back! That's wonderful, and good job revising three chapters!!
I can't think of any questions to ask you . . . let's see . . . have you ever taken dance classes?
Aaarrgghh, I missed Glee! I've never seen it either, but I LOVE Madonna and this episode received so much hype I wanted in on the action. Booo, I can't believe I forgot! I watched the Phillies game instead. They lost. :(
Good luck with your revisions! That's what I should be doing now, too...but I'm more interested in checking around for that Glee ep, lol!
I haven't seen Glee yet, but have heard so much good about it. Congrats on your revision, sometimes just getting started is the hard part, then you get into that edit groove. Happy revising to you!
Shannon - I'm glad I'm part of the club now!!!
TAA - It was a spectacular feeling! I can't wait to revise all the way through once!!! Hehe!
Matthew - Your Glee post rocked... and thanks for the name! I'll try and remember that one!!
Kimmy - YAY!!!
Christine - I agree!!! Can't wait for next week!!
Justine - I didn't get it either until last night!! Thank you!! I plan on checking our your tattoos! How bold!!
Janna - It is so much fun, thanks to Arlee Bird for getting me started!! I'll make sure it's a good excerpt, lol!!! Glee rocks! LOL It only takes one!!
Al - Thanks Al I appreciate the confidence! I am strong enough to do this!!! I think, lol!
Amy - Ooo good question! Look for the answer friday!!!
Laura - It rocked!! Start your search now!!! Must catch up!!
Joanne - Thank you! I hope it goes smoothly! My fingers are crossed!
Yay, welcome to the Glee Club. I love musicals so it was just my kind of show.
Good luck with the revisions.
Haven't seen Glee but yes it sounds like a fun show. Ridiculously awesome? That spring has finally come to Utah and the trees in our yard are so ridiculously awesomely beautiful that seeing them surrounding our home makes me want to cry with joy.
I haven't watched last night's episode yet, but the "Vogue" music video was hilarious!
Isn't Jane Lynch the best?
Glad you liked it!
Sue Sylvester rules. And, did you know dolphins are just gay sharks? One of the best quotes I´ve ever seen on this show.
Share the Glee love =)
Awesome news? I am enjoying the singing from the American Idol finalists. What is it about passionate song that revitalizes?
Good luck with your revisions.
I watched Glee a few times and even though I liked it, I didn't catch the fever.
Good for you with the revisions! That's ridiculously awesome for sure!
And I tried to watch Glee once, but I just could. not. get. into. it.
:)
NICE! have fun revising -- even though it's harsh, it's often exhilarating!
and love the GLEE references. hehe
best of luck with everything!! :D
I have a love hate relationship with revising. Sometimes I'm like Yeah!!, other times I'm like UGH!!
Glad to see someone else join the Glee band wagon. I love that show.
Good job on the revisions! I love Glee, but I watch it on Youtube 'cause its not I don't have it on cable.
Glad to hear that you've got your grove back. I've never seen Glee but your post makes me want to check it out.
Glee is addicting!!! LOL
Can't wait for the sneak peek! And I think it's good to have a bit of break between the first and second drafts. Then you can start sort of fresh. Good luck! :)
Yay, glad you love Glee too :)
Good luck with the revisions. Looking forward to the sneak peak.
You know I have never watched that show not even once...I should probably do that so I can know if I like it or not! Congratulations on your revision being done!
If I start watching Glee I will never get anything done!
I've never watched "Glee" but I have the feeling I probably should....
I have an award for you over at my blog, friend!
Love Glee! I've been watching it since the beginning, but last night's episode surpassed even their usual awesomeness. You should totally watch the first season. So fun! Congrats on starting the revision process and good luck.
I've only seen one episode of Glee. It was great!
I can't wait to see some of your wip tomorrow! =)
I love Glee!! I haven't seen the 2 new episodes yet, but I loved season 1 and can't wait to catch up. Sue Sylvester is my FAVE.
Congrats on revising, too! That's great!
I was so pleasantly surprised by Glee the first time I watched. Truthfully, I thought it would annoy me. But Sue Sylvester is absolutely the best villain I've ever seen.
Isn't the world SO READY for positive entertainment? I'm so sick of my anxiety level shooting the the roof when I sit down to be entertained. I love Glee for this reason & it is changing the way I approach writing.
And speaking of writing, congrats on jumping into revision!
My awesome news is yours : it is awesome that you finished your first draft. It took persistence - which is something not everyone who dreams has. Have an ridiculously awesome day, Roland
That's great you got into your revisions! I haven't watched Glee yet. I'm afraid I will get addicted!
Wanna know how long it's taken me to get into the revision? months and months and months. I just can't seem to work up the motivation. But I'm getting there. I will climb this mountain!
You have an award at my blog!
Jai
It's good to see a writer enjoying the process. I haven't seen Glee although I did catch part of Jane Lynch's Vogue video on E! News. It looked pretty cool.
Glee for the first time?! OMG, you're going to love that show. It is seriously awesome. I love the music to it, and can't get enough Glee!!
Madonna rocks!! Best of luck with revisions :))
YAY for revisions. I love revising, but I'm weird like that. And GLEE... I don't watch it, but I've heard it's a great show!!
You are ridiculously awesome.
Glee is very addictive.
LOVE!
Ain't nothing like gettin' your mojo back! Congrats on your rewrites. Have never seen Glee.
Oh, I'm so glad you watched Glee. I have to say that last night's episode is way down on the list of my favorites, but it was okay.
Yay for revisions! I'm still not sure I know the difference between editing/revising/rewriting. All I know is it's work and sometimes I don't want to do it.
Sorry...nothing Ridiculously Awesome today. I just took a torpedo to the bow, instead. Ugh!
I have watched Glee since the very first episode. I have enjoyed it mostly for the musical numbers. They do some very nice presentations of good songs. I like the music of Madonna a lot. I enjoy the actors on the show--they are quite talented. However the show is starting to wear thin with me. It is becoming redundant and somewhat cloying. For me Glee has gone from quite good to okay and in all honesty if it doesn't pick up some I will probably stop watching soon and go to bed earlier-- I need more rest.

You have really great blog, Jen!
Congrats on your revision :)

Yay for revising 3 chapters, and good luck with the rest of revisions!
I think waiting 12 days before starting to revise is a good idea, as it gives you a much needed distance from the manuscript. :)
I've heard many good things about Glee; I'll probably check it out soon!
WAY TO GO!!! Good luck with your revisions...:)
I just recently got hooked on Glee, too.
Have a great week!!!
GLEE is one of the highlights of my week. You MUST go back and watch the first season!
Happy revising.
Ridiculously awesome news? Let's see...I have ideas for three more novels in my head right now and I am having to battle them away so I finish my current WIP.
All the best with your revisions! Hey, my word verification is "sweezzle". That's sort of ridiculous!
Yay!You! on the revisions. :)
Glee is awesome, but I missed a bunch of episodes. I'll need to get the DVDs to get caught up.
I've never seen Glee but it sounds like I should probably try to watch it. I can't wait for a sneak peek of your WIP :)
I love Glee! I haven't watched yesterday's episode yet (I'm forcing myself to wait until this weekend since I've had such a crazy week). Good luck on your revisions!
I've never watched Glee, but it sounds great! I don't think I can afford another regular TV show, though.
Hooray for starting your revisions! I used to dread revising, but now it's my favorite part of the process.
No joke - I am watching Glee as I write this! I missed the episode last night and I am catching up.
Congrats on your success! It appears that you are filled with GLEE! Hee hee.
Yeah for revisions!!!! Hope you keep rocking them out.
Well, I have to agree that GLEE is /ridiculously/ awesome.
And hats off for even contemplating adding me onto the list. (P.S. This list *rocks* solid.)
