Query Land and INSANITY

1. I tend to mimic other individuals wardrobes. I always hope I can pull it off, and never succeed. Apparently I was just born with a quirky personality and not a quirk wardrobe.

2. I love Bravo but recently joined both LOGO and VH1 with their versions of "housewives"... LOGO does gays, and VH1 does Basketball Wives... All so fabulously addicting.

3. I used to be organized, now I'm a writer. My poor husband is tired of picking up book after book, paper after paper with my writing and reading habits! I literally lay stuff everywhere. He's sweet to put up with me.

4. Ive been on the INSANITY challenge for four weeks now, no soda, no candy, just healthy eating and hardcore workouts... I feel like ass.

5. I love holidays and with Halloween around the corner I've already busted out the Halloween paper on my iPhone and will be putting up decorations soon!!

6. An extra!!! Today is the first day of querying! I'm excited and OH SO NERVOUS! Hoping to share awesome news in the next few months! *fingers crossed*

So what are your truths?

Favorite piece of...

Happy Friday!!!

Today I'm keeping it simple... a few quotes...

1. Your favorite piece of writing will always be your next one.
2. Stand in the rain with your face turned upward every chance you get.
3. Every writer spends a lifetime as a writer-in-training.
4. Every good writer is a sponge: soak it up, wring it out.
5. A fair number of fiction writers have been avid liars since childhood.

So if the snow is falling or the rain is coming stand in the middle of it all and enjoy the moment. If the sun is shinning spend a day outside to soak it up.

Write a little, read a little, love a lot.

Have a fab weekend!

Boring without a writer

Life would be boring without writers (or being a writer).

I was in bed last weekend attempting to catch a few extra minutes of shut eye when an idea came to me (that and my cat Ellie has this constant need for attention).

I thought about what it would be like to be in my husbands head for a day. After I said it I realized what I'd be giving up.

Yes, there would be silence, no headaches, no working out character problems. A blissful day off. But let's say my husband and I swapped. The number one thing he doesn't like, is the feeling of being overwhelmed (doesn't everyone?). I'm on constant overload, thinking about what social network site I need to check out so I don't lose touch. What to make (or not make) for dinner, the works.

However in my husbands brain I might be MORE overwhelmed. After all he's a numbers guys, always working out the facts, the budget.

I guess all of us are made to have our own brains. Built with our own strengths and weaknesses. Never meant to swap. So since my husband already loves and supports me that should be enough. After all, he wouldn't know what to do in this brain of mine.

So let's leave the brain swapping out of this and just remember that life is truly boring without a writer and I'm happy to be one.

What do you like most about being a writer?
