Do you give credit where credit is due?
I love to thank people. I think it's the most rewarding thing in the world that often people forget about. From the person who allowed you to pull in front of them out of a gas station to someone who might of saved your life, all deserve kindness.
I always wonder at what point someone gives thanks. With the holidays approaching I know that we can get stressed out on gift buying, setting up plans for who's house you'll visit and how long you'll stay, but don't get rude in the process.
Yes, this does relate to writing...
When writing my stories I'll start by outlining, then writing, and then asking someone to beta read. Those people I keep close to home. I send chapters to those I trust and when they send their feedback I thank them immediately. Why wait until the acknowledgements when you'll be thankful so many times that you better start now because you'll never think it's enough!
When do you give thanks?
