Monday Musings

Welcome to Monday Madness! Or is it Musings? Who knows, I think that might as well go hand in hand. Here are the current things weighing on my mind.

1. Video recording one's self can be misconstrued as concieted. Like, I am merely telling you I'm video recording myself hanging out with 'Ellen', but secretly it's me trying to let the world know how awesome I am... Trust me when I say, making these videos was much harder than I anticipated. Also, add embarassing to the list, and yet I still produce.

2. I've recently fallen into a reading frenzy. It's the only thing that takes me outside of the house buying process and into someone else's problems. Current read: Bad Girls Don't Die by Katie Alender. Now, porcelain dolls have always creeped me out, but Alender takes it to a whole new level.

3. Our new girl at work ran out of post-its and though I have a drawer full of them I didn't have the heart to let go of them. I so rudely asked someone else for their post-its so that I could keep all my pretty colored ones. Sorry lady, yellow will have to be your color... pink, green, and blue... they're with me.

4. I have only managed to watch one show in the last two weeks and it was Jane By Design. I know, there are better choices, but it clearly states that I have quite the addiction. If you look at my DVR I have 68 recordings and that's the one I chose to watch. *my husband rolls his eyes*

5. I make up things so I can feel better about my situation. Our recent house dilemma can down to a man wanting to keep his refridgerator due to 'sentimental reasons'. I keep telling people that with this man being so crazy and such a weird thing to not want to let go of, it must mean we're getting the house. I do the same with statistics... Do you know the more books you read the more intellegent you become? This I say while reading Chelsea Handler's latest book. Clearly I left out what kind of books.

Anything to share? Join the crazy!

It's okay Jen, I deprive my kids at school of the pretty colored post-its too! What can I say, I like certain colors!

Books are such a great way to escape enjoyably from reality. Sorry the house searching isn't going as well as you'd like.

We all go through those times.

I am not big on video taping myself. Yuck. Hearing my own voice makes me quiver. lol

Love the post-it story. Too funny. :D

I don't even have a video recorder so... And I'm into plain yellow (preferably lined) Post Its so you can send all yours to me. :)

I like to think I'd do anything to help anyone, but not when it comes to Post-its. They're mine. All mine. Especially the heart-shaped ones.

Ha, I love Jane by Design! It's so cute, and those clothes are to die for! Totally valid addiction. :)

sentimental fridge? Well...okay...I don't know that you really want to keep a fridge that someone has grown a sentimental attachment to...never know what's gone one there...with that whole thing...

As a child (early chapter book) I read a book about dolls in a doll house. One of them was evil and ended up burning down the doll house and one of the dolls was melted. I don't remember more than that because I tried very hard to repress it. I had nightmares for months. I never played with dolls again.

BAH!!! You are so freakin hilarious w/the post-its! And I've been wanting to watch that JBD! I love Andie McDowell and I love fashion and I love Paris and my DVR is so full, it's deleting shows I haven't had a chance to watch yet!!! Zerg~

Someone waxing sentimental over a fridge might have bodies buried in the floorboards. Keep moving! :D <3

I hide my colored post it notes from my kids, but they still find them. ;)

You did great on the videos! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

I hoard paper clips. I don't like the dull ones. If they're shiny I'll slip them off before handing over a stack of papers.

I'm hoping to rent a new house within the next month, and oddly enough, I'm hoping the prior tenant is willing to sell me his fridge. Surely he doesn't want to have to move it . .

Good luck with the house hunting.

I like to lie. lol Great opening line.

Self-recording oneself is kind of weird. One hour of You Tube is proof enough. I go for the whack comedy ones. Yes, some of it is conceited, but hey, it can be a lot of fun.

I once donned a mask and left a political commentary about a local City Hall issue. Man! I hate so many hater comments I had to delete the video! I haven't done much self-recording since needless to say.

What a post-it hog! I'm blowing the whistle on you!! LOL

The only TV I'm watching is American Idol and Property Brothers. :) American Idol was on for 6 hours total last week!! what a time commitment that was.

I am not a post-it user, but when I've got pretty ones, I still don't let others use them!

We are crazy.

I find post-it hoarding to be completely acceptable. I do the same thing with fancy paper clips:)
